"So that's why we're here."
Asford responded, then turned to look at the soldiers behind him.
"Our objective is simple: to raid the enemy's support forces, completely cut off their reinforcements on their way, and ensure the safety of the soldiers who are attacking."
After saying that, Asford mounted his motorcycle and started its engine.
The motorcycle roared, its enormous sound rolling like a warhorse cheering, celebrating its imminent entry into the war.
Asford looked at the distant sky, which was crimson red, like blood flowing from a person.
I will turn all this blood into the enemy's.
Asford thought this to himself, and then he sped off, leaving everyone else in the dust.

Chapter 182 For Humanity
Lynch stood before the sand table, looking at the ever-changing terrain and the symbols of the Imperial and Chaos armies on it, discussing with Horus and Danteok the next steps needed for the battle.
“Asford has already led the rapid reaction force to cut off enemy reinforcements,” Lynch said in a deep voice. “Our next step is to eliminate the defenders of Galon as quickly as possible. Once we take Galon, we can launch an attack on the central city without any worries and end this battle in one fell swoop.”
On the sand table, a portion of the eagle symbols representing the Imperial forces moved continuously. They bypassed the Galon region where large-scale battles were taking place and instead circled around to the rear of the battlefield, engaging in combat with the demon skull symbols representing the Chaos army that appeared there.
Those were reinforcements sent by Honso to support the Garon region, but the number of these reinforcements was small. According to the intelligence relayed back by Asford, they had no Titans, and even the number of vehicles was pitifully small.
It's clear that Honsor himself has essentially given up on Galon, and his purpose in deploying Titans there was simple: to allow the city to hold out longer and thus better weaken the Imperial army.
Lin Qi took a deep breath, crossed his arms in front of his chest, and tapped his left hand on his arm guard.
"Send out air strike forces."
Danteok suddenly spoke, causing the other two to turn their attention to him.
"Warfare today is essentially a contest of hard power. Since ancient times, siege warfare, apart from those intrigues and tricks, has been nothing more than that."
Danteok shook his head slightly, seemingly sighing.
"Better city defenses, better troops, better siege equipment—in reality, all that's needed are fearless soldiers and the courage to sacrifice everything."
Lynch looked at Danteok, then exchanged a glance with Horus, and then used Hoffman to send a message outward.
At the hastily constructed Imperial airfield, large numbers of Valkyries and Thunderhawks were ready. Mortal Astral Army soldiers and Astartes, equipped with jump packs, stood ready, awaiting orders to launch their attacks.
Then, just as they expected, the order to attack was given.
There were no pre-battle speeches; the priest walked among them, softly reciting prayers of blessing. One by one, soldiers, carrying their equipment, boarded their fighter jets. After the last man entered and the last jet's hatch closed, the roar of the engines began to echo.
The Valkyries and Thunderhawks took off one by one, leaving long trails as they headed towards Hell.
And now, in hell, a brutal battle is taking place.
Gabriel Seth wielded the Bloodthirster and led his black-armored warriors into a heavily fortified enemy position. Without a second thought, he beheaded a mortal rebel and, as his comrades watched in horror, pulverized the mangled corpse as well.
"For Saint Gillespie!"
Someone shouted in the channel, "It's Malakin Forros!" This usually polite son of angels revealed a completely different side of himself. He was furious and brutal, and each swing of his power spear pierced a person's throat, leaving them clutching their bleeding wounds and dying in agony on their knees.
That's more like it.
A strange smile appeared on Seth's face, as if it were a mixture of relief and something else entirely.
When Forros saw Seth, he didn't hesitate. He fought his way through the enemies in front of him and made his way to his brother's side.
"How about it?"
With concise and to the point, Forros inquired about the Seth Chapter.
"Fortunately, we've only lost a few dozen men so far in the battle."
Seth shrugged slightly, drew his explosive pistol from his waist, aimed at a rebel man wielding a logging gun in the distance, and pulled the trigger.
boom!
Starting at the waist, the rebel's body was forcibly severed, and he fell helplessly to the ground.
"That's good. After the battle, you can find Lord Lin Qi, and he will help with the replenishment."
"Hmph, we'll see."
Seth snorted coldly. Recently, he had discovered a problem with Star Claws: the new recruits of Star Claws seemed quite different from the normal Astartes.
This difference is not only reflected in their height, but also in Seth's discovery that these people's self-healing ability, resistance to psionic energy, and physical fitness have all been raised to above the average level of normal Astartes after modification.
Seth had his suspicions, but he had no evidence. Besides, given the current relationship between Star Claw and Flesh Tearer, even if he knew the truth, he would choose to keep it a secret for various reasons.
However, having the Star Claw participate in the Flesh-Tearer's reinforcement work...
Seth said he needed to wait and see.
The battle continued, and Imperial forces had successfully penetrated into the outskirts of the hive city. Brutal street fighting was underway. The narrow streets were littered with the corpses of ordinary people, and the bodies of Astartes could be seen every so often.
These corpses belonged to both the Empire and Chaos, but the latter were relatively more numerous. After all, in addition to the regular rebels, there were also a large number of slaves and cultists with little actual combat power in the city.
Even the worst Astral Army soldier could capture dozens of these people with just a light gun, and the kill-to-capture ratio was more than ten to one.
Seth noticed a Leman Rustank driving on the street, except that the tank was painted with blasphemous chaotic symbols, and just by looking at it, he could feel the evil power contained within it.
That was a demon engine.
Without exchanging words, Forros knew what his brother was about to do. He made a gesture, and the weeping ones behind him immediately focused their fire, successfully drawing Lemanrus's attention.
The wrecked plasma cannon aimed at its enemy, and a distorted, crimson plasma beam, carrying destructive power, shot out from its muzzle. It crashed violently into a tall building where a mourner was wailing, creating a large hole with lava flowing from its edges.
The heavy bomb gun fired continuously, suppressing the enemy.
But what Lemanrus didn't expect was that his destruction wouldn't come from his surroundings, but from above.
Gabriel Seth activated the jump pack on his back, propelling his massive body into the air. He then deactivated the jump pack and, using the gravitational potential energy of his descent, slammed his foot onto the roof of Lemanrus's car.
The driver inside the vehicle realized something was wrong, opened the hatch, and a tentacle stretched out from inside the vehicle and lashed out at Seth.
But Seth reacted faster than the tentacles.
His free hand gripped the tentacle and forcefully snapped it off. A scream of agony came from inside the vehicle. Without hesitation, Seth took a plasma grenade from his waist and threw it into the cabin.
He jumped off the roof, and at that moment, the plasma grenade exploded. The powerful impact tore apart the steel casing, turning the flesh and blood inside into flying charcoal that scattered all over the ground.
Seth shifted his gaze, searching for the next high-value target. But at that moment, the ground began to tremble, causing him to frown instantly. He turned to look at the troops behind him and gave the order to retreat.
"Leave this place," said the chapter leader of the Flesh Rippers. "Give the battlefield to the knights and the Titans."
As soon as the words were spoken, a crimson steel giant crashed through a nearby high-rise building, its Death Chainsaw Blade piercing through the enemy's cockpit, stirring up a bloody storm.
Char Aznable piloted his knight mech, leading the Iris Knights in a chaotic battle against enemy knights. For the knights of the Empire, hunting down knights who had defected to Chaos was not merely an honor, but a duty.
By this point, the young knight had already killed three Chaos Knights, all of which were of the Ranger class.
This is a tremendous honor. With such merit, Char could even be eligible to run for the next leader of the family.
But for Char himself, these future matters were unimportant. At this moment, all he could think about was defeating his enemies and crushing them all.
The enemy's knight mechs collapsed helplessly to the ground, turning into a useless mixture of steel and flesh in Char's eyes.
Char let out a long breath. He heard his teammates calling out through the channel. He turned the Crimson Comet around and prepared to walk towards another enemy knight mech.
But at that moment, he suddenly felt a strong sense of crisis. This sense of crisis prompted him to maneuver the knight mech to turn to one side, away from the source of the danger.
And as it turned out, he was right.
A barrage of powerful firepower rained down, turning the spot where Char's Knight mech had just stood into a sea of fire. A figure even taller than the Ranger Knight appeared, its appearance quite bizarre; its hunched back gave it the look of a hunting dog. It possessed a unique reverse-joint structure, granting it astonishing speed despite its massive size.
This is a Titan, a Warhound-class Titan, and also the smallest Titan, tasked with reconnaissance within the Titan Legion.
Char's breath hitched. Even the smallest Titan was much larger than the Knight mech he was piloting, not to mention its firepower, which far surpassed that of the Knight.
In such a situation, the correct course of action for a rational knight would be to flee immediately and then notify his Titan forces to deal with the situation.
but........
The oracle displayed numerous friendly signals. Behind Char, a company of Astronauts was still retreating. If Char moved aside, they would inevitably lose their lives under Titan fire.
But if he were to face a Titan, he would most likely die anyway.
Given the choice between a precious knight mech and a noble and powerful Imperial knight, and a squad of Astral Army soldiers that can be conscripted at any Imperial planet at any time, any rational commander would know the answer.
But I'm sorry, Char is not a rational person.
Or rather, as an imperial knight, he was much more rational.
A communication signal was transmitted, Char answered it, and then a voice appeared.
“I am Captain Lara Sin of the 5th Company of the 3rd Siege Regiment of Badab! Sir, please step aside immediately, you are no match for that Titan.”
"You all need to leave now and not interfere with my battle."
Xia didn't say anything else and hung up the call immediately.
After he had done all this, he looked at the Chaos Titan and took a deep breath.
"Beware, traitor! You are facing the exiled one of the Deikun family, the Blade of Freedom, son of the Supreme King Zeon Shim Deikun, master of Sazabi, bringer of hope, killer of aliens, vanguard leader of the Iris Knights, the victor! The light of dawn! The red comet! Char Aznable!"
After the declaration, a fearless charge ensued.
Scenes like this are unfolding across the city of Hive City. The deeper the advance goes, the greater the resistance. It's not just the Word Bearers; large numbers of genetically engineered warriors, similar to Astartes but without their Astartes equipment, are appearing throughout the city, attacking the Imperial forces.
These genetically engineered warriors have skin covered in patchwork marks, and even without power armor, they are incredibly powerful. Without the assistance of Astartes, the Astral Army often has to pay the price of dozens of lives to eliminate them.
The Red Scorpion's apothecary had a grim face. He looked at his leader and took a deep breath.
"These guys are from Astartes."
"what is going on?"
“They may have used blasphemous techniques to produce these people, my lord. We must find the factory that produced them. I suspect there is such a factory within this hive.”
The leader of the Red Scorpion Chapter, the Supreme Overlord Willant Odiz, remained silent for a long time before nodding solemnly.
"Take the Third Company and go find them. I will report it. Make sure you destroy the enemy's desecration technology. We cannot allow it to continue to exist."
After doing all this, Odiz's keen senses detected the sound of engines approaching from afar. He looked up and saw a large number of Thunder Eagles and Valkyries flying overhead. Their hatches opened, and warriors equipped with jump packs descended from the sky, landing behind the enemy's positions and destroying the enemy's rear artillery positions.
"Keep moving forward and kill every traitor."
Odiz took a deep breath and, leading the Red Scorpion Legion, continued the battle.
