Chapter 484 The Past 2
Chapter 2: The Past
At the docks, Moonlight Knight spots two armed men, hitching a ride for a mysterious employer. They approach Mr. Hyde, who demands payment. When the men fail to pay, Zabo kills the two.
Moon Knight attacks Zabo. The battle moves to Hyde's ship, where Moon Knight discovers Hyde is selling Ultron's head. He escapes with the head and jumps into the water. As Moon Knight sinks deeper and deeper into the water, the armed gang's employer appears above the ship.
He refused to pay Zabo, and in revenge for his murder, he attacked with great force and absconded with the rest of Ultron's body. Moon Knight took Ultron's head back to Captain America, Wolverine, and Spider-Man to discuss the situation.
However, in reality, he is completely alone and the three Avengers are merely his personas. Dressed as Spider-Man, thinking he is Spider-Man, Mark confronts Snapdragon at a strip club run by the criminal Snapdragon.
Halfway through the battle, his Wolverine persona takes over. He is defeated, but is saved by Echo, who is there undercover. She explains that she was briefly an Avenger and that they have mutual friends.
He later asked her out on a date at Pink's Hot Dog to make up for blowing her cover. Specter hired former SHIELD agent Buck Lime to assist him and tested him by posing as Bullseye.
Buck confirmed the authenticity of the Ultron Head and encouraged him to hand it over to the Avengers. Meanwhile, the new leader of Los Angeles ordered Snapdragon to kill Moon Knight. To do this, Snapdragon hired the Night Shift team.
Meanwhile, the assassin known as Daken moves to Los Angeles. He expects to become the boss of the city's crime scene, but finds a new boss is already in place. A series of murders committed by the "Claw Killer" are wrongly attributed to Daken.
Moon Knight was also hunting the Claw Killer, who eventually became Marcus Roxton. Night Shift attacked Moon Knight and Echo, who were on a date. The police tried to arrest them, and he initially surrendered on the advice of his captain's personality.
When a handful of police officers tried to rip his veil off, he fought back and ran away. Echo also stole a police car and fled. He later tried to kiss Echo, angering her. Later, Echo showed up at his home and apologized.
The True Avengers arrived and Buck contacted them and informed them of Ultron's head. Rogers told Mark that he believed in him and his plan to capture the mysterious leader, but emphasized the risk of the plan. Buck went to Snapdragon's club and gave him the leader's head.
Although he knew it was a trap, the leader revealed himself: Count Nefaria. The Head of Ultron was a fake, filled with drugs that weakened Nefaria. They engaged in battle, and Nefaria escaped.
However, Echo had recorded everything; they now had solid evidence of the leader's identity and intentions. She also witnessed Moon Knight talking to his men. Moon Knight brought Snapdragon to the police station. Despite the overwhelming evidence, the captain did not want to anger Nefaria, and thus did nothing.
While defeating the criminals, Moon Knight and Echo were ambushed by Nefaria. They tried to escape, but with little success. Holding their ground, they knew it was an impossible battle. Nefaria killed Echo with his beam, angering Moon Knight, as he had developed a crush on her.
His Wolverine personality killed the other two Avengers and took control of the situation. He attacked Nefaria, injuring him. Nefaria's explosion backfired, severely injuring himself and Moon Knight. The police found Spector and took him to the hospital.
He awoke to find himself handcuffed to a bed. Buck freed him with poison gas. Nefaria asked his daughter, Lady Mask, for help. She tracked the Vibrio to Echo's scepter and found Buck and Moon Knight's hideout.
She retrieved Ultron's head. Buck and Moon Knight together defeated Musk and retrieved the head. During the fight, Moon Knight manifested an alternate personality, which was based on Echo. When the LAPD showed up to arrest Count Nefaria, he attacked their police station.
Moon Knight follows him but is defeated. This leads Nefaria into a trap as Spector calls the Avengers. Mark and his new personality Thor knock Nefaria out and he is taken into custody.
The head of Ultron was given to Tony Stark, who impressed Mark. Moon Knight showed off Iron Man's new personality. Three months later, The Legend of Konsu was canceled and Moon Knight left Los Angeles for New York.
Avengers vs X-Men
Moon Knight sides with the Avengers against the X-Men and is assigned to monitor Jean Grey's school alongside Sam Wilson and She-Hulk.
He takes an aggressive approach to his job, and after a tit-for-tat with Joanna Cargill, Mark attacks her, leading to a fight. After She-Hulk harms some kids, believing them to be a greater threat, other faculty members at the school join in the fray, leading to a full-blown conflict.
Return to New York
Mark uses the laundered old money to pay for his return to New York and new technical equipment. He creates a new "Mister Knight" persona and begins working with NYPD Detective Flint on many different cases, while with his Moonlight Knight persona, he continues his normal vigilante activities.
A psychologist also told him that he did not suffer from dissociative identity disorder, but that his mind had been completely controlled by Khonsu, with each of Khonsu's four aspects taking on one of his three personalities at one time or another. The apparent multiple personalities were his brain's way of understanding what was happening to him.
In the following adventures, Moon Knight faces off against a sniper, seeks revenge against his former employer, and battles a group of punk ghosts terrorizing downtown Manhattan, using a magical skull armor.
