Chapter 481 Ollivander's Bad Days

Chapter 481 Ollivander's Bad Days

Today is definitely a bad day for Ollivander.

Originally, today was supposed to be a day of financial loss, but it was only because Lia's attitude, though tough, wasn't unpleasant, and the current peace and stability was invaluable, that he paid the protection fee without being too reluctant.

No sooner had Leah and her men left than Harry Potter, the most wanted criminal in the world, showed up at their door.

Mr. Ollivander had previously been in contact with Dumbledore and had always supported their cause, but this support was more spiritual. He was too old and not physically capable of suffering, so he simply couldn't rise up like the more fearless others.

His life is currently stable, a rare stability amidst the crisis, so he's hesitant about how to deal with Harry.

Unfortunately, fate didn't even give him time to hesitate. Della arrived right after him. This coincidence was unexpected by everyone. Ron and Hermione, who were hiding outside to meet her, widened their eyes and could only try their best not to make a sound.

In desperation, Ollivander, who knew about the Death Eaters' interrogation methods and their unreasonable system of collective punishment, could only stuff Harry into the counter, practically begging him to hide.

Harry would certainly cooperate; he didn't want to get caught.

“Mr. Ollivander, there is a new little wizard here,” Della said politely. “Please help her find a suitable wand.”

With Beretta present, Della's politeness took on a more humorous edge. Beretta pursed her lips shyly, smiled bashfully at Ollivander, and then eagerly stepped forward, saying with barely concealed longing, "Sir, please give me a wand!"

“Oh, okay,” Ollivander said, facing Beretta, his gaze constantly darting to Della. Once he was sure they were just there to buy wands, he began his search. “This one, eleven inches, pine…”

Ollivander began the normal wand-selling process. Harry huddled behind the counter, not daring to move, no more than six feet away from Della. He listened to the interplay of old and young voices, feeling somewhat dazed.

It seems like he entered the magical world only yesterday, but from the very beginning, the existence of 'Voldemort' has been like a shadow, following him to this day, and who knows if it will follow him into the future.

Harry will do everything in his power to reject that kind of future.

In a daze, she heard the sound of wind, small explosions, and boxes falling overhead. Beretta had chosen her wand: an eleven-inch alder wand with a core made of unicorn tail hair.

“Alder?” Della thought about the correspondence between the more well-known materials and characteristics of wands. “People who use alder wands are always very popular.”

"Will this wand bring me lots of popular magic?" Beretta asked Della, holding her wand with a delighted expression and tilting her cute little face up.

“As long as you study hard, Beretta can use whatever magic she wants,” Della patted Beretta’s fluffy little head. “I believe you will be loved by everyone no matter what.”

“I will try my best!” Beretta said sweetly, looking even more at her wand with great interest.

"The younger the child, the more careful you must be with the use of the wand," Ollivander cautioned despite his fear, "Children's magic is unstable."

“Okay, I understand,” Della smiled and nodded to Ollivander. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

“Thank you, sir! I will be careful too!” Beretta mimicked Della’s voice, her innocent appearance making both Della and Ollivander laugh.

Not long after, the wind chimes rang, and Harry knew that Della had gone out. He cautiously did not move immediately until Ollivander squatted down as if tidying up something.

"What are you going to do, Harry?" Ollivander asked in a low voice. He felt that it was best to help now, and he had no choice but to help. After all, he had already kept it a secret once, so he might as well keep it a secret forever.

“Please add a core to this wand for me,” Harry said, handing over the wand. “Thank you so much, Mr. Ollivander.”

“I hope everything goes well for you, Harry,” Ollivander nodded to him, offering his sincere blessing.

Outside the store, Della caught a fleeting glimpse of Ron.

Ron did it on purpose; he gripped his wand tightly when he saw Della, constantly worried about any unexpected events, and increasingly felt that he couldn't let anything happen to Harry.

So he put on his hood and pretended to be in a hurry as he passed by, but he happened to reveal a little bit of his face, hoping to send a smokescreen message to Della.
