Chapter 912: Explosive entrance-4

After making them bow to him, he extorted them and sent them packing. It was a tough and costly lesson that they would never forgive. Few of them were present for this party, Alan looked around to see them hankering in the corner of the venue trying to make themselves small so that he wouldn’t notice them. After last time it was not surprising, they didn’t want to take chances!

Moreover, he seemed to be in his little sister’s court which was bad news on so many levels. A cunning and cruel person like him surely have different ways to block his way to the top. He was right to his line of thinking. The question was whether his father knew about it too and had a contingency plan for it.

Meanwhile Alexis who was standing beside Alan was eyeing Samuel too. She had to admit he looked more dashing in his formal dress, like prince charming of her dreams! Coincidentally, he also glanced her way when she was daydreaming. When their eyes met she blushed heavily.

" What the hell os wrong with me? I can’t believe I am acting like a school girl! I can’t lose my composure!" She screamed inward. Up until now, he had been a perfect gentleman and acted professionally without a hint of insinuation toward anything else.

Their exchange were transactional which meant she was the one having these impure thoughts about him. She had always been smarter than most which was why, she never thought any man could charm her enough to evoke such useless feelings like love.

She ruthlessly supressed her feelings trying to compose herself for the evening. She couldn’t show any weakness, not today, not ever!

" That brooch, it is what I think it is?" Someone finally asked. Samuel looked down and smiled mysteriously.

" I was also surprised when I first saw it. I can’t believe you were hiding it when everyone else were racking their mind to find it." Sharon added.

" Is it that special? It’s a beautiful piece but I can’t see anything unique about it." Delphina shrugged. She wasn’t like any typical girl who was interested in jewellery even when her family dealt with them in their subsidiaries.

" I was born ready! I can’t wait to see their shocked faces when we will reveal our teump cards." Delphina started to get excited.

" Right, after this party I have to hurry back to attend the fashion party hosted by Chanel. I asked Sharon and she agreed to come so I will appreciate of you also accompany me. It would be much more fun than this uptight event."

" I...I don’t know. It would only make things more complicated. After our announcement, I have to hurry and take control of the situation so that my father and brother couldn’t do anything to harm my position." Delphina commented.

She knew even if she won now, she would be alone. Samuel would leave soon and with her father’s influence it would be hard for her to take charge immediately.

She and Samuel might hold a majority but it was barely above fifty percent. The enemy faction still had some sway over company operation, especially her father and Duke, two largest shareholders of the company.

Samuel didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He had long since figure out what Bernard wanted to do at this party, it was quite different from what others believed.

He couldn’t believe a clever girl like Delphina hadn’t grasp the situation yet. It seemed she had long road ahead of her if she wanted to be as successful as her father.

For now Samuel didn’t say anything, he wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise by blabbering his mouth. It didn’t take long for the banquet to resume. The battle of heir was reaching it’s conclusion which had unexpected twists and turns!
