Chapter 2128 - 2129: Rescue
Chapter 2128 - 2129: Rescue
The rope wrapped around the white tiger, along with a faint red spiritual energy emanating from it.The glow was weak, yet it seemed to contain an extremely intense heat that, when touching the white tiger's body, caused its soft fur to emit a sizzling sound.
Roar!
A painful roar came from the white tiger's mouth, its eyes reddened, staring firmly at the old ghost surnamed Li, with an indelible hatred in its copper bell-like pupils.
"Humph," the old ghost Li sneered and said, "When the time comes to butcher you and take your spiritual essence, let's see how you glare at me then!"
As his voice fell, his figure suddenly moved, swiftly approaching the white tiger, and in an instant, a red glow raged behind him, appearing as a residual light!
Aware of the approaching danger, the white tiger's massive figure swung left and right in the air, desperately trying to break free from the binding rope.
Its figure began to change, its immense form gradually shrinking.
Clearly, it intended to take advantage of the moment its body shrank, to slip through the rope.
But strangely enough, the rope, with an unknown refinement, shrank rapidly as the white tiger's form diminished, moving with its body!
Seeing this scene made Lin Chen's heart tighten, as from the looks of it, the white tiger's situation was truly dire!
"Run! Keep running!"
The old ghost Li's figure quickly reached the white tiger's side, raising his hand, where the daunting spiritual energy ripple once again appeared.
With a loud bang, the white tiger whimpered, vomiting a stream of blood from its beastly mouth, its fragile figure plummeting from the sky after the strike!
Meanwhile, the God Binding Rope seized the moment, under the old ghost Li's manipulation, to bind the white tiger again!
No matter how hard it struggled, it could not break free, and its form was frozen at several meters in size, showing a disheveled appearance.
A moment later, it could no longer hold on, collapsing to the ground.
Yet the old ghost Li showed no sign of pity, looking at his disciples, now reduced to only a few, their bodies and blood staining half of the earth, fueling his anger.
"It's time to act!"
The sound of breaking the air resounded around the crater, from figures in robes with veils covering their faces, clearly intent on concealing their identities.
"Ha, even you can't hold back anymore?"
Facing the dozens of figures in front, the old ghost Li was neither shocked nor doubtful, as if he'd anticipated their arrival, squinting as he scanned the crowd, with a hint of arrogance.
The crowd remained silent, each standing in place, cautiously watching their surroundings, seemingly unfamiliar with one another.
"Let's deal with the old ghost first, and then decide on the division of the spiritual beast."
A whisper spread among them, quickly gaining agreement, as they gestured, holding weapons or gathering spiritual energy, gradually forming a surrounding force, trapping the old ghost Li within.
Lin Chen gazed at the distance, frowning tightly, pondering for a while before glancing at the ancient sword in his hand, whispering, "Hope it helps him get out of trouble."
Lacking confidence to face the battle, Lin Chen crouched his body, moving slowly, using the dense forest for cover, quietly approaching the white tiger.
The clash of metal continued, with figures occasionally flying out from the distance, bathed in blood, falling to the ground.
And these, fortunately, aided Lin Chen in concealing himself, ensuring no one noticed him.
In a short time, Lin Chen was within ten meters of the white tiger, finding himself in a barren land.
He frowned slightly, although the battle continued, he knew those people were watching this place, so he couldn't act recklessly or expect any advantage.
Right then, a slight noise came from Lin Chen's right side, turning his head, he saw a young man crouching, cautiously moving forward.
"Looks like many are thinking of scavenging opportunities." Lin Chen sneered.
But the man barely moved a few meters, not yet halfway to the white tiger, before a red glow descended, striking him, instantly turning him to ashes, without even a scream.
"That old ghost is indeed ruthless." Lin Chen coldly watched from afar, then tightened his grip on the longsword, exhaling lightly, and thought, "Just wondering how much of this world's spiritual energy attack my body can withstand."
With that thought, his figure erupted, crushing the rock underfoot, swiftly rushing out from the woods!
As he appeared, an attack from the air flashed again, Lin Chen's speed was fast, but not as fast as the rainbow-like glow descending.
But he hadn't planned on dodging it anyway; moving forward, he took the hit head-on, painfully enduring it, while using the force to propel himself faster towards the white tiger.
At the brink of connection, Lin Chen's ancient sword quickly swung, sending out beams of cold light, accurately slicing the God Binding Rope, immediately fragmenting it, losing the previous momentum.
Without the binding of the rope, the white tiger was immediately free, looking gratefully at Lin Chen with blood-red pupils.
"Go quickly," Lin Chen said.
Then his figure flew several meters, even with the support of ancient trees, he was propelled out tens of meters, crashing the old trees to the ground.
"Hmm?"
The old ghost Li, didn't see the specifics, but seeing the white tiger rising, rushing away, he understood the rope had broken, swearing instantly, "Damn! Why are we still fighting, the beast has run off! Get out of my way!"
But those in the battlefield clearly lacked his multitasking ability, thinking it was a distraction, continuing their attacks regardless.
Until the people on the battlefield outskirts glimpsed the situation, mutually confused, asking, "Where's the beast gone?"
"To hell with the beast!"
The old ghost Li was already furious, not only losing many disciples, the binding rope was broken, and the beast escaped, making his return to the sect difficult despite his status.
With that in mind, his attacks grew stronger, every move aimed to kill.
"Run! The old ghost's gone crazy!"
With nothing left to fight over, they had no desire for combat, scattering in all directions.
Soon enough, the once dense forest only had the old ghost Li left standing, surrounded by severed limbs.
"Marvelous, marvelous, thought I was fishing, but ended up with this outcome." Chen Lin coughed, slowly applauding.
