Chapter 170 Illusion
Chapter 170 Illusion
The Grey Knight pushed Freya's hand away and slammed the table. The table full of food was smashed into powder by his big hands, and then he drew the Sword of Vengeance.
A pale flame burned on the silver holy sword, and Drago immediately swung a ray of fiery psychic sword energy towards Freya.
Facing this psychic flame that could kill most demons, Freya's expression was quite disdainful. She didn't even intend to dodge, but snapped her fingers when the psychic flame was about to burn her.
A huge portal appeared in front of Freya, swallowing all the sword energy released by Drago, and then quickly closed.
"Demon! What did you do?" Drago shouted, sword and shield in hand.
"It's very simple. I just sent the gift you gave me to the real universe." Freya snapped her fingers again. This time, no portal opened. Instead, she used the sky as a screen to project what was happening on a planet in the real universe.
Judging from the projection, the planet seemed to be a beautiful paradise planet within the empire. The planet had beautiful scenery, with forests and lakes scattered around, and was dotted with hospitals and sanatoriums.
But suddenly, a huge crack opened above the planet, and then the psychic flame that Drago had released earlier gushed out from the crack. The lake water instantly boiled and evaporated, and the earth turned into a sea of fire. Those mortals who suffered the unexpected disaster cried for their lives, but were eventually burned into black skeletons by the flames.
"Ah—I hear the wails and curses of the dead." Freya looked at Drago with amusement and said, "They are cursing the murderer behind the scenes with the most vicious words. They must think that the enemies of the Empire are responsible for this tragedy. If they knew that the real perpetrators of their crimes were the Imperial Knights who were supposed to protect them, what kind of expressions would appear on their faces?"
"Don't try to seduce me, demon!" Unexpectedly, Drago showed no remorse. "You stole my flame and used it to burn the people of the empire. If these people knew the truth, the name they would curse would not be mine, but yours!"
After saying that, Drago raised his sword again and attacked Freya. The silver sword, half a person's width, dragged a dazzling arc of light and slashed towards Freya's head, but a pair of black wings opened from Freya's back, lifting her up to avoid the attack. However, the sword energy carried by Drago's sword still plowed a deep gully in the ground.
"Demon? You say I'm a demon?" Freya laughed, "Then who do you think you are?"
The white-bearded knight didn't answer Freya's question. He knew that every question the demon asked was a trap, and he had already answered enough of them before. When faced with the demon's questions, the sword in his hand was the best answer.
Drago roared, and he jumped up from the ground with his legs. The shield and weapons on his body weighed several tons, and his armor was not equipped with a power backpack, but he jumped up to the height at which Freya was flying. He pounced on Freya, trying to catch this high-ranking demon.
But all he managed to grab was a wisp of purple smoke, and Freya had teleported behind him, whipping Drago's back with her tail.
Although there was armor between them, Freya's blow seemed to have actually hit Drago on the back. He lost his balance in the air and then fell heavily to the ground.
"You tin cans are so stupid and boring." Freya shook her head regretfully. "Or are you afraid? Are you afraid of hearing lies? Or hearing the truth?"
Drago got up from the ground in a somewhat embarrassed manner. He looked up at the sky angrily, but found that there was no trace of the devil there at all.
"You said you came to this planet through the portal, so how did you get to the previous planet? You couldn't have taken a spaceship, did you?" Freya's voice appeared behind him without warning. He immediately swung his sword behind him, but found that the scenery behind him was no longer the same as before. It was replaced by a magnificent city filled with strange energy.
How could Drago forget this city? The demon who built this city once showed him a way home, but he refused to accept the demon's charity. He pushed down the city wall and buried the demon under the rubble.
"I know your story. This was your last chance for redemption, but you ruined it yourself." Freya stood atop the spire, looking down at Drago. "Did you think tearing down the city walls would be the end of everything? After you left, Destiny City was rebuilt, taller and even bigger!"
Drago roared and rushed to the city wall. He raised his fist and punched it again and again. Judging from his size, this was no different from an ant trying to shake a tree, but the huge city wall was really shaking because of his blows and began to crack.
If he could overthrow the city once, he could overthrow it a second time. If the devil built the wall a thousand times, he would destroy it a thousand and one times.
Freya did not try to stop Drago's behavior, but looked at him with pity.
Drago's fist, like a battering ram, kept hitting the city wall, and cracks spread on the wall. Some cracks even went beyond the wall itself. It seemed that Drago was not hitting the wall but a mirror, and he had cracked the mirror itself.
Sure enough, with a sharp shattering sound, this magnificent city, along with the entire space, shattered like a mirror, and the fragments fell into endless darkness.
Drago also fell in the darkness, and soon his feet landed on the solid ground again.
The surrounding scenery slowly emerged from the darkness. The ground was covered with fungi and muddy moss. Green spores and a foul stench floated in the air. The ground was covered with strange plants and bloomed with twisted and ugly flowers.
This is the territory of the evil god Nurgle. He once arrived here and set off a psychic fire.
"The fire you set certainly infuriated the Lord of Plague. For a long time, He was forced to tend to His garden even more attentively than before." Just as Drago was puzzled, Freya's face appeared on a nearby flower. Then the flower coiled around Drago's body like a snake, and finally Freya's face at the center of the flower met Drago's gaze. "But soon, the place you burned began to bloom again. More luxuriant and more poisonous plants flourished in the ashes."
Drago didn't answer. He stretched out his hands and grabbed the stem of the flower tightly, as if it was Freya's throat. But the moment he stretched out his hands, Freya's face had disappeared from the flower.
