With a soft click, the lock opened. The indicator light flickered green, like a star of hope rising in the darkness. We made it!

I collapsed on the ground powerlessly, and Hao Yang leaned against me. We smiled at each other, and saw the relief of surviving the disaster in each other's eyes.
