Chapter 615 World 73
Chapter 615 World 73
Catherine's good mood lasted until the end of this journey, when they entered the city where the Holy Magic Academy was located.
Catherine stayed at the hotel with her entourage and had no intention of going to school.
Stella said with a hint of helplessness, "Didn't you say you were going to impress me?"
“I did say that,” Catherine said, then seemed deflated, “Stella, if only you were still as small as before, I could put you in my pocket and take you to class.”
Stella gently tapped her head: "If that's the case, then I'm still in the tribe."
Catherine knew this perfectly well; she was simply used to being with Stella and didn't want her to leave.
But the time for parting still had to come. Catherine reluctantly went to register and then stayed at the academy, where she couldn't go out for a while.
Stella didn't intend to waste time waiting for Catherine to come out again. She planned to rest in the city for a while before continuing her travels.
But Catherine had only been out for a short time when someone came knocking on her door.
"Dong dong dong."
Stella looked up warily, but remained silent.
The visitor was surprised by her composure. After knocking on the door again, he introduced himself: "Hello, Miss Stella, I'm Charlie. I have something I'd like to discuss with you about Miss Catherine. May I come in?"
Oh, not a person, but a vampire.
Stella stood in the doorway and said, "Since it's Catherine's business, you can talk to her. You don't need to talk to me; I don't know you."
“Miss Stella, your words are really hurtful,” Charlie said, deliberately lowering his voice. “We’ve been together for so long, we’re quite familiar with each other.”
“Then it’s good that you’re sad,” Stella said frankly, and she didn’t like his overly affected and somewhat greasy voice. “There are plenty of people on the same path as me, I don’t need to know everyone.”
"I believe your elders taught you not to talk to strangers, and even more so, not to open the door to strangers."
"I hope you, a stranger, won't bother me. Otherwise, I'm not sure what methods I might use under the guidance of my elders."
Charlie was somewhat taken aback; he never expected Stella to be so stubborn.
However, it was daytime and there were many people coming and going, so he couldn't force his way in and could only apologize and leave.
Although Charlie had left temporarily, Stella knew that since he dared to approach her, he must have some ulterior motive.
He can't get in during the day, but can't he find a way when it's quiet at night?
Stella could leave now, but who can guarantee that there aren't traitors in this city watching her every move?
It's better to stay here and rest, in case he dares to come tonight...
Stella took out a mirror that she hadn't used since meeting Catherine and took the initiative to send out a communication signal.
In the afternoon, after settling into her dorm room, Catherine responded to Stella's call.
"What's wrong, Stella? Are you missing me?"
“A little,” Stella readily admitted. “Let me see your dorm room.”
Catherine held up a mirror to show Stella the surroundings of her living quarters.
As a direct descendant of the Archmage Eugene, Catherine's residence was naturally different from that of ordinary students.
She has exclusive access to a small building left by the God of Magic, Eugene, at the Holy Magic Academy.
As Catherine showed Stella around, Stella noticed that the servants in the small building were all from the Eugene family, and Romeo was not among them.
Stella only asked the question after Catherine returned to her room to be alone.
“Him?” Catherine said casually, resting her chin on her hand. “I had someone take him to soak in the water.”
"After arriving at the small building, I made him remove his disguise. I originally wanted to admire his good looks and use them as an accompaniment to my meal, but I didn't expect that he would look like a fish out of water, without any luster."
"I wanted to see beautiful women, not to be a villain who forces women into prostitution. You're not even putting your heart into acting."
With that, Catherine scoffed, "Don't think I don't know what they're up to. Trying to bind me with love? Dream on!"
"One day, I will make them regret their current neglect and contempt for me."
“I trust you,” Stella said, reassured by Catherine’s confidence.
“By the way,” Catherine asked, “Stella, you contacted me so early, did something happen?”
We digressed a bit earlier to take a walk around the house, but now we have to get back to the main topic.
Stella told her about Charlie coming to her door after she left.
"Knowing he had no good intentions, I certainly wouldn't open the door for him, but I suspect he'll come back again tonight."
"Catherine, since you don't have classes scheduled for tomorrow morning, why don't you stay with me tonight and wait?"
“Okay,” Catherine agreed. Judging from her expression, if she weren’t temporarily unable to leave, she would have immediately run to Stella’s room and waited with her.
Stella had made an appointment with Catherine, so she could arrange her own time for the time being.
However, to avoid the unpleasant situation of being "bumped into" by Charlie after going out, Stella simply gave up the idea of going out and stayed in her room to read and rest.
As night fell, Catherine had just finished dinner when she contacted Stella.
Stella was still eating fruit at that moment. She casually put the mirror aside, then clipped the bookmark into the open book on the table before looking up to speak.
"Catherine, what's with that expression?"
Catherine felt uneasy watching Stella eat fruit: "Damn Charlie, if it weren't for him, Stella, you should have been able to stroll through the market and enjoy a sumptuous meal."
Stella understood; it was the fruit in her hand that made Catherine feel that her quality of life had been lowered because of Charlie.
Stella explained, "This fruit is much tastier than the lavish meals served at the inn. It comes from the Elf Forest."
Catherine was still not satisfied: "How about I arrange for some people to stay with you and take care of you?"
This care wasn't just limited to this short period in the hotel; they followed Stella wherever she went afterward.
“No,” Stella quickly refused, emphasizing, “Catherine, I do need to hone my skills and improve my abilities on my own.”
“Alright then,” Catherine reluctantly conceded.
The two of them chatted back and forth, and soon it was time to rest.
Stella blew out the lights, plunging the room into darkness.
Catherine also lay down and chatted with Stella in a casual manner.
Just as Catherine was getting sleepy, there was a sudden creak in the window of Stella's room.
Soon, the window was opened a crack.
A bat flew in, and the moment it landed, its body stretched and it transformed into Charlie.
"Good night, dear Miss Stella!"
