Chapter 537 Around the World
Chapter 537 Around the World
Lu Keming looked into the tunnel wall and saw that the sea had returned to calm, but Yu Youyou had disappeared.
A flicker of panic crossed his eyes as he looked across the vast ocean, searching for her.
Then, a whale's roar rang out again, and a colossal creature burst from the water.
Lu Keming looked in that direction and first saw the familiar dilapidated ship, its hull even more severely rusted and covered with green algae.
And below it is Yu Youyou's body.
Lu Keming once concluded that this dilapidated shipwreck would never have the chance to return to the surface of the sea.
Now, Yu Youyou carries it on her back, setting sail again on the sea and under the sun.
Lu Keming chuckled softly, reached out and stroked her back, and murmured, "You did it, Youyou."
Fortunately, Yu Youyou did not actually become the most powerful pirate on the sea as she had said when she was a child.
She carried the shipwreck, followed the ocean currents to the northernmost part of the Pacific Ocean, passed through the strait into the Arctic Ocean, saw the last rays of the aurora, met a polar bear hunting in the water, and spent the entire summer with it.
After the polar bears hibernated, she carried the sunken ship southward.
On her journey, she encountered a group of beluga whales trapped in the ice. She bit through the ice, creating a lifeline for the whales.
After arriving at the Alaskan Peninsula, she bid farewell to the group of beluga whales and continued her journey.
Occasionally, she would encounter other ships.
During a storm, the sea is turbulent and visibility is almost zero.
The ship lost its way and was trapped in the waves. Just then, a ray of light, a symbol of hope, pierced through the storm and appeared before them.
The crew, seeing the light, assumed they had encountered another ship. Excitedly, they steered their vessel toward the light source, only to find a rusty, dilapidated boat adrift in the storm upon reaching it.
They were terrified, thinking they had encountered the legendary ghost ship.
Before they could escape, the ship beneath them lost control and began to move at an extremely fast speed.
The ship only stopped speeding away when it left the eye of the storm and reached a calm sea.
A muffled thud came from the bottom of the ship, and to the crew's horror, a huge black shadow slowly moved away.
After that, legends of ghost ships began to circulate on the sea. Crew members kept claiming that they had encountered ghost ships during stormy weather, and that a huge sea monster was guarding the ghost ships.
Upon hearing the news, journalists from all over the world rushed to the scene by boat.
They hoped to catch a glimpse of sea monsters and ghost ships, which would surely become big news, but in the end they came up empty-handed.
While people were searching for the ghost ship on the sea, Yu Youyou had already carried it to Antarctica.
Here, she saw penguins with the same color scheme as her friend, the orca.
She especially liked this little trinket, which was smaller than her eyes.
She even loaded a boat with penguins, attempting to return them to the Mariana Trench.
However, the penguins didn't seem to want to leave this glacier-filled place. After boarding the boat, they quickly jumped back into the sea, forcing Yu Youyou to give up.
She stayed in Antarctica throughout the entire polar night.
The dazzling aurora borealis illuminated the night sky with vibrant colors, and millions of stars accompanied her throughout the polar night.
When she is hungry, she simply sinks into the water and opens her mouth, and millions of krill swim into her mouth, giving her a feast.
Her body gradually became rounder, and soon she could no longer move smoothly through the cracks in the ice, often getting stuck in the ice while swimming.
Upon hearing her cries for help, humpback whales and killer whales will rush to her aid.
These two creatures, who are sworn enemies, surprisingly did not start fighting as soon as they met. Instead, they worked together to push Yu Youyou out of the ice from behind.
But as Yu Youyou got stuck more often, the whales arrived much slower.
They were hundreds of kilometers apart, and through sound waves they asked her, "Are you stuck again?"
Yu Youyou answered shyly, "Yes."
The humpback whale mother told Yu Youyou, "You shouldn't always go into the ice crevasses. We all know it's dangerous there. If you accidentally get trapped in the ice, you'll die very quickly because you can't breathe."
"She doesn't need to breathe," the orca said from afar. "But next time you're trapped, you can always go to humans!"
“Last time I was also trapped in the ice, but humans found me. They used a piece of iron to break the ice and took me to a big pool. They even brought me small fish to eat every day.”
"Unfortunately, I didn't stay there for long before they sent me back into the sea."
"That's because you eat too much," Yu Youyou replied. "If you eat so much, even humans can't afford to feed you."
“That makes sense.” The orca thought it made a lot of sense. “Then I’ll send manta rays to humans next time.”
The humpback whale retorted, "You're thanking humans? What does that have to do with the manta rays?"
"Why do you care so much?" the orca immediately spewed back. "I didn't take your child to humans."
It would have been better if the orca hadn't mentioned the babies. As soon as the humpback whale heard the orca bring up the babies, it remembered the babies that had been eaten by the orcas, and immediately became angry and started arguing with the orca.
The two sides argued back and forth for a full two weeks.
Yu Youyou, still trapped in the ice crevice, listened to their argument and slowly sighed.
Half a month later, the sun returned to the continent, the ice gradually melted, and Yu Youyou, who had become thin from hunger, finally emerged from the ice.
Orcas and humpback whales even argued using sound waves.
Yu Youyou then loaded the boat onto her back and swam towards the Atlantic Ocean.
