If a person's soul is strong enough, or the underworld determines that the person's merits outweigh his faults, but he cannot enter reincarnation for the time being, then the person's soul can leave the netherworld and reside in a grave or a beloved object during his lifetime.

What we usually call the blessing of ancestors, the smoke coming out of ancestral graves, the appearance of ancestors, etc. are all the actions of human souls. Some people may ask, if the underworld determines that a person's merits outweigh his faults, why can't he enter reincarnation immediately?

There are many reasons for this. Good people, saints, or people with good luck will be rewarded when they enter reincarnation and are reborn in the underworld after death. People with good destinies, such as emperors, powerful officials, and wealthy families, may have to wait for the heaven to assign a powerful soul to them. This situation often occurs with monsters, spirits, insects, and beasts.

This reward is not something that can be given just like that. If you want to be reborn into a good family, you have to wait. During the waiting period, the human soul can leave the underworld and act alone. Of course, it cannot do anything out of line. If it violates the laws of heaven and earth, a bolt of lightning will come down and everything will be over.

The Yin energy in Li Yi's body, that is, Little Li Yi, is actually part of the earth soul of the real Li Yi. His heavenly soul and human soul are gone, and it is unknown whether they were taken away by someone or dissipated.

Incomplete earth souls like this cannot enter the netherworld and can only wander around.
