Chapter 228 Steady Free Meals
Chapter 228 Steady Free Meals
Seeing Jiang Man's determined look and about to rush in, Su Heng couldn't help laughing. He pulled her and hugged her in his arms, "Your father told me to take you away quickly."
Jiang Man widened his eyes and grabbed the corner of his clothes tightly, "You mean."
Su Heng chuckled and scratched her nose. "Let's go buy some good wine for my father-in-law. He's in a good mood today and wants to have a couple of drinks."
Jiang Man has been in a trance. How could her father agree to this?
Suddenly, she felt a little lost. Logically, her father should at least give her some symbolic warning or a look!
When the two returned, they found a ragged child sitting at the door. It was Wenwen.
Su Heng took a quick glance, recognized the child, and said calmly, "Steady."
Jiang Man hesitated for a moment and called out softly, "Steady."
Wenwen came over with a smile, "Sister Manman, my sister is not at home today, can I come and have a meal?"
"Of course." Jiang Man smiled like a flower. She has always liked this child.
"Thank you sister."
Jiang Man walked in front and opened the door. Su Heng looked down at Wen Wen and suddenly asked, "Will you miss this meal?"
Wenwen pretended not to hear and walked straight past Su Heng and into the house.
Xuanxuan was sitting on the spacious living room floor, fiddling with his toy car. He heard the sound of a door opening and immediately turned around. The moment he saw Wenwen, his face instantly fell and he muttered in dissatisfaction, "It seems like I'm really the poor forgotten kid."
Jiang Man opened his mouth in surprise when he heard this: "Xuanxuan, where did you learn these words?!"
The little fellow sighed and imitated the adults' tone: "Alas, I only see the new people smiling, but I don't hear the old people feeling sad."
Jiang Man was stunned for a long time before he finally squeezed out the words: "Where on earth did you hear these words from?!"
"It's all in the TV series!" Xuanxuan argued confidently.
She decisively issued a ban: "No more watching this kind of meaningless program!"
Just as the little guy was about to protest, Su Heng came over, gently rubbed Xuanxuan's head, and said softly: "Mom is doing this for your own good."
Xuanxuan pouted, looking unconvinced.
Su Heng whispered to Xuanxuan, "A real man should think about how to protect his own things instead of being obsessed with those boring TV dramas all day long."
As soon as these words came out, Xuanxuan's eyes immediately widened. He looked warily at Wenwen who was not far away and called out softly, "Wenwen?"
Su Heng smiled slightly: "The boy is teachable."
Wenwen only felt a cool breeze blowing from behind. When he turned around, he saw Xuanxuan staring at him with his sharp little eyes. He couldn't help but shiver.
He thought to himself: I didn’t do anything!
Su Heng acted as if nothing had happened. He picked up the newspaper on the table and casually flipped through it, muttering, "Xuanxuan, remember, don't alert the enemy."
Xuanxuan looked confused: "What does it mean to startle the snake?"
"Just don't let your 'enemy' see your intentions." Su Heng explained.
Xuanxuan nodded, not quite understanding.
Jiang Man heard their conversation, walked over and glared at Su Heng: "What are you talking about with the child!"
"Teach him how to pursue his future daughter-in-law." Su Heng said slowly.
Jiang Man was amused by him: "You are simply beating a gangster."
"As long as it works." Su Heng stood up. "I'm going to take a shower."
After taking a shower, Jiang Man had already prepared three dishes and a soup, and the two children were already sitting obediently at the dining table.
Wenwen took the initiative to help serve the rice, and Jiang Man patted his head affectionately: "You are so good."
This simple action made Xuanxuan curl his lips. He walked to Su Heng and pointed at Jiang Man in grievance.
Su Heng glanced at him sideways, picked up Xuanxuan and walked to the dining table.
Jiang Man came out of the kitchen and called everyone: "It's time to eat."
Xuanxuan raised his little head and deliberately avoided looking at Jiang Man. Jiang Man looked confused, not knowing why the little guy was making trouble again.
"Xuanxuan?" Jiang Man called again, "Can you please sit down and eat by yourself?"
Xuanxuan slowly got down from Su Heng, sat in his seat, and said nothing.
Jiang Man scooped a bowl of soup for Wenwen: "Does your sister know you are here?"
He nodded steadily: "I know."
"That's good."
"Mom!" Xuanxuan suddenly shouted.
Jiang Man turned around: "What's wrong?"
"I want to drink soup too!" Xuanxuan said, although he usually doesn't like drinking soup.
Although Jiang Man was a little confused, he still picked up Xuanxuan's small bowl and scooped a bowl of soup for him.
Seeing this, Su Heng put down his chopsticks: "I want some soup too."
After dinner, it was already late. Jiang Man thought about it and decided to let Wenwen stay the night, so she asked him to take a shower. She went to Xuanxuan's room and prepared to find him a set of clean pajamas.
When she opened the wardrobe, she was stunned. She turned around and woke up her son: "Xuanxuan, Xuanxuan!"
Xuanxuan walked to the door: "What are you doing?"
"Where did these clothes come from? Why have I never seen them before?" She looked puzzled.
Xuanxuan answered as a matter of course: "Uncle Su bought it for me."
Jiang Man asked in surprise: "When did you buy it? How come I don't know?"
"Uncle Su has prepared it a long time ago, and there are still a lot in the guest room!" Xuanxuan said.
Jiang Man nodded. Well, she almost forgot that the "Uncle Su" her son mentioned was a rich man who was generous with his money.
Xuanxuan bit his lip and asked softly, "Mom, what's wrong with you?"
"Hmm?" Jiang Man was looking for pajamas.
"Do you like Wenwen very much?" Tears welled up in the little guy's eyes.
"Yeah." Jiang Man just finished answering and immediately realized that something was wrong. No wonder he looked at Wenwen strangely tonight. It turned out that the little guy was jealous.
She couldn't help laughing, picked up Xuanxuan and said, "You are my favorite little baby. I like other children differently from you."
"Really?" Xuanxuan threw herself into Jiang Man's arms and said coquettishly, "Mom can only like Xuanxuan."
Jiang Man touched Xuanxuan's head: "Okay, Mommy got it."
She found a set of clean clothes and handed them to Xuanxuan: "Xuanxuan, can you help your mother give the clothes to Brother Wenwen?"
Xuanxuan took the clothes and responded happily: "Okay!"
Jiang Man entered the bedroom and saw Su Heng looking up at a document with a document on his knees. She glanced at it casually and saw the word "Hua Mei". So she asked, "Are you looking at the cooperation case?"
"Yeah." He responded lightly.
She asked curiously, "Didn't we leave it all to Chen Hao to handle? Could something have gone wrong?"
