Chapter 109 The Feel of the Demon Wolf
Just as someone of a lower sequence would be suppressed when facing someone of a higher sequence, Antigonus, being half a fool, understood that he was completely restrained by the being before him who contained the Source Castle.
Even—Antigonus did not attempt to escape again, but simply looked at the young man before him and said, "You say you are not that one, yet you clearly possess a status above the gods."
"I don't deny it; I do indeed possess the rank of Lord of Mysteries." Klein smiled slightly, his expression softening. "This is a gift from my best friend."
"Rosen Nicholas?" Antigonus asked tentatively.
"Yes, so I will grant his wish." Klein did not deny it. He nodded, looked at the dire wolf in front of him, and gave a slightly apologetic smile. He said, "He wants a dire wolf as a pet, so I'm sorry, Lord Antigonus, but this is probably not a bad thing for you."
As Klein spoke, he thought of the future fate of the Night Kingdom and Antigonus, and couldn't help but sigh.
This is one of the reasons why Klein chose to help Rosen capture Antigonus. Although they had no grudges against each other, it was better to let Antigonus shine under Rosen's command than to let him meet his end as he was destined to.
Klein knew very well that although Rosen said he wanted to keep Antigonus as a pet, in his style he basically wanted Antigonus as a subordinate, at most to tease him occasionally like a dog.
But Antigonus is not human; He is a demon wolf!
Klein doesn't deny that he's biased. If Antigonus were human and Rosen wanted him as a pet, Klein would probably try to dissuade him. But since Antigonus is a dire wolf, Klein has nothing to say.
The wolf was originally a big dog, and it makes perfect sense to keep a big dog as a pet!
Thinking of this, Klein's gaze fell on Antigonus again. His eyes swept over the pair of pointed ears on the other's head, and he smiled, saying, "Don't try to escape. I don't want to hurt you."
When Rosen arrived at the nascent divine realm of Klein, the battle between the two "Fools" had already been decided.
Looking at Antigonus, who was hanging in mid-air like a piece of cured meat, Rosen couldn't help but chuckle. He then looked at Klein and said, "You've worked hard. Let's have a good meal tonight. What would you like to eat?"
"How about we make some glutinous rice balls?" Klein suggested after thinking for half a second. "We could make some fun glutinous rice balls. I've wanted to do this for a long time, but I've always been afraid of getting beaten up."
Rosen glanced at him upon hearing this and said, "You're not planning to put chocolate in the glutinous rice balls, are you?"
Klein smiled shyly and said, "No, that's not true. I just wanted to put some strawberries in it. I've seen this way of eating it online before, but I've never tried it before."
"6!" Rosen gave Klein a thumbs up and said enthusiastically, "Great! We can invite other people over and everyone can try putting different things into the glutinous rice balls. Then we can cook them together and see who has the best luck."
Klein's expression became somewhat subtle upon hearing this, but he ultimately nodded: "It's not impossible."
After the two had discussed dinner, Rosen looked at Antigonus and said with a smile, "We meet again, little devil wolf."
Antigonus stared at Rosen in silence for a few seconds before finally speaking: "What exactly do you want? If it's for the mysterious servant trait within me and the uniqueness of the Fool, then give me a quick death."
Although he appeared fearless of death, Antigonus's drooping ears revealed that he was not in a good mood, but simply did not want to appear weak.
Rosen raised an eyebrow upon hearing this, and beckoned to Antigonus. The spirit thread suspending the demon wolf obediently delivered the wolf to Rosen's hands, and Rosen finally got to touch the head of the big dog he had been dreaming of.
To be honest, the feel isn't great; it's a bit hard and doesn't feel like the traditional feel of a fluffy puppy. It's more like the feel of a large, ferocious beast.
Antigonus looked bewildered, staring at Rosen in astonishment, when he suddenly realized a fact.
Wasn't the other party talking nonsense before?
"Little wolf, I've told you before, I just want a pet." Rosen patted Antigonus on the head, then withdrew his hand, smiling at the wolf, and said, "Would you like to be my dog?"
He's actually serious?!
Antigonus was completely dumbfounded. He couldn't understand what was wrong with the person in front of him, who went to so much trouble to catch him, just to make him his pet.
"Are you sick?" Antigonus finally couldn't help but ask.
"He is not only sick, but seriously sick." Another voice rang out at this moment, and Amon appeared not far away, with Medici looking bored next to him.
They exist as a third line of defense. If Klein had an accident during the battle and Antigonus had escaped, they would have been the ones to stop him.
However, because Mr. Fool was so powerful, neither of them made a move in the end, and they only watched a crushing battle unfold.
"How could you be—it's you!" Antigonus was stunned for a moment, then, as if struck by something, he glared at Amon and said, "You brought them here."
"There's nothing I can do. My brother caught me and threatened me with my weakness. I have no choice but to sacrifice you." Amon said this, but his expression showed no remorse. Instead, it was filled with undisguised schadenfreude.
"You δζKηβκ————" Antigonus was clearly enraged by the sight and unleashed a torrent of curses at Amon. However, the wolf obviously didn't have a lot of swear words to spare, and he could only repeat a few of them over and over again.
Amon listened with a smile to Antigonus's insults, then adjusted his monocle and uttered a single word: "That's it?"
Antigonus: !!!
Antigonus was absolutely furious at that moment.
Rosen then slowly spoke up, "Amon, don't be angry with him, he's infuriating you. Are you going to be my pet?"
Amon paused, his hand holding the monocle, and fell silent instantly.
Seeing this, Antigonus couldn't help but laugh, "Ha, so you've finally met your match!"
But the wolf's smile quickly faded as Rosen reached out and tapped it on the head.
"Little Demon Wolf, you still haven't given me an answer!" Rosen said with a smile.
Antigonus fell silent, his enormous wolf eyes staring directly at the young man before him. After a long while, he finally asked, "Who exactly are you?"
'
"I am the Angel of Life, Rosen Nicholas," Rosen said with a smile, meeting Antigonus's gaze with a hint of nonchalance. "Think carefully, little devil wolf, haven't you really heard of me before?"
