"Yes. Please trust the Star Train's reputation."
Himeko answered with a smile.
Spall nodded, said no more, and with a leap, flew into the starry sky, fired a shot at Baltan, and raised his middle finger:
"Come bite me, you idiot! Hehehe~"
Baltan was hit and paused for a moment before letting out a shriek and leaping into the starry sky, facing Spa and pouncing fiercely.
Midway through, Baltan gathered energy and unleashed a destructive burst of flames, aiming directly at Spa's body.
Spada, however, remained calm and unhurried, summoning a virtual keyboard and rapidly pressing buttons with his fingers.
Before long, the Imaginary Cannon appeared behind them.
Fire! Bombard!
Chapter 25 A Realm Beyond the Reach of Ordinary People
Boom!
The Imaginary Cannon ripped through the starry sky, colliding with the destructive energy and igniting an orange-red flame. The two forces were evenly matched.
A moment later, a mushroom cloud rose from the point where the energies converged. A sudden explosion rang out, and a shockwave spread outwards. Spa was thrown back by the reaction force, retreating four or five meters before coming to a stop.
"Whoo~"
Spa took a deep breath and looked toward the enemy's position, only to see smoke billowing around them, obscuring his vision.
As the smoke cleared, Baltan's disheveled body was revealed. It was covered in mud, its eyes bloodshot, and it stared intently at Spa.
"grumble!"
Baltan roared, spreading its wings and whipping up gusts of wind. But Spa remained unmoved, not even taking a step back.
"You beast! Show me what you've got!"
Spall yawned, squinted, and smiled as he gazed at Baltan. Meanwhile, his hands continued to furiously press the keys on the keyboard.
Before long, ten imaginary cannons hovered overhead. Spah's legs spewed flames, and with a whoosh, he charged straight at Baltan.
"grumble!"
Baltan roared and charged at Spa.
click!
A cracking sound rang out, and cracks spread across Baltan's body. Before long, the cracks spread to his entire body, and the giant worm split into two.
Two Baltan moons, one on the left and one on the right, attacked Spah from both sides.
As they marched, the giant insects opened their mouths, condensing orange-red energy spheres. The energy spheres solidified further, and soon transformed into destructive flames, hurtling straight towards Spa.
Boom!
In an instant, the world changed color. Wherever the destructive heat reached, even space itself began to distort, and tiny cracks appeared.
However, Spall didn't care. He shrugged and summoned a shield. But the shield had barely formed when the destructive heat was unleashed.
when!
A muffled sound rang out, as if an ancient Buddhist bell had been struck.
The energy shield was struck without even a crack appearing, while the flames vanished in the blink of an eye.
Storage... its strongest attribute is defense.
Spah curled his lips, about to say something trash, but then noticed that the giant insect in front of him looked strange.
Cracks spread across their bodies, and in an instant, all the cracks shattered, and Baltan split into four.
Two giant insects spewed out flames, while two others circled around to the rear, flanking Spa from both sides and aiming straight for his blind spot.
"I told you, don't test the defenses of the storage!"
Spall said coldly.
With a slight thought, the golden energy shield transformed into a sphere, enveloping his body.
Four beams of heat shot straight at the protective sphere, instantly creating a towering heat wave, but the shield remained as solid as a rock, without even a crack.
"It's my turn to make a move!"
Spah licked his tongue, and the Imaginary Cannon changed its position, projecting golden energy pillars in all directions.
Boom! Boom! Boom...
Explosions erupted one after another, raising mushroom clouds, while Baltan's body was sent flying backward.
The four giant insects fell into the starry sky, spun around several times, and finally managed to stop and no longer retreat.
However, despite their disheveled movements, they only had minor scratches and no other noticeable injuries.
Tsk~
As for survivability, output is really not their strong point...
Spa smacked his lips, feeling troubled.
But Himeko, who was watching the battle, had a different idea:
Wow, what a powerful momentum!
Spata, despite being just one of the ten Stonehearts, was able to fight the Breeding Envoy to a draw; it's truly unbelievable...
Himeko rolled her eyes, her gaze shifting, and she couldn't help but notice the extra shield that had appeared on her body.
She turned her head and noticed that the other people in the train crew also had golden energy shields around them, which added to her shock.
Spada... even amidst his fierce battle with the messenger, still had the time to shield us and protect us from the aftershocks.
Is he so strong that it defies common sense?
Himeko pursed her lips, trying to figure out the reason, but then she realized that she was still on the battlefield and should not be distracted, so she changed her attention and turned her gaze to the two sides fighting.
At this moment, the battle situation suddenly changed.
Spah put away the Imaginary Cannon, leaped up, raised his index finger, and aimed it at the pitch-black starry sky.
In an instant, countless golden chains appeared in the previously empty starry sky, like swimming dragons soaring through the heavens.
【Heaven's Lock - Dragon Dance】!
The chains fell, encircling the four giant insects and spinning rapidly. When the speed reached its limit, they suddenly tightened.
click!
Baltan was bound tightly and struggled desperately, but could not break free for a while. Only the gold chains trembled and made creaking sounds.
Spah frowned, his muscles tensing, and even though fate had strengthened his wrists, he still felt strained.
He turned his head, faced the train crew, and shouted:
"Now's the time! Fire!"
Himeko had been observing the battle for a long time, and was already prepared to unleash her attacks. She nodded and summoned the Planet Destroyer Cannon.
Energy condensed at the cannon muzzle and exploded towards the giant worm with a thunderous roar, instantly unleashing a burst of orange-red flames.
Spall stared at the flames and realized that Himeko's attack was far more powerful than a regular planet-destroying cannon. Even a Commander wouldn't dare to directly confront such destructive force without preparation.
"Humanity has never hidden its desire to control the stars... including me, of course~ Little March, Danheng, Xing... it's your turn!"
"Okay!"
On the seventh day of the third month, the bowstring was drawn taut.
The other two, though silent, moved swiftly, one on the left and one on the right, lunging at Baltan.
"Rules! Are made to be broken!"
"The moon is hidden in the cave sky, and the blue dragon touches the world!"
"Come and experience my power!"
Perhaps having held back for a long time, each person shouted something before making their move. In the blink of an eye, beatings, stabbings, freezing, roasting... all sorts of extreme tortures were inflicted on the giant worm.
Even so, Baltan did not resist, letting the attacks rain down on him.
The train crew was equally unhurried; in an instant, various colors of energy intertwined, and the starry space became colorful, like fireworks bursting forth.
"Haha! This is so awesome! This is so awesome!"
March 7th made a series of moves, cheering loudly.
Spah sensed the energy in the space and nodded with a smile.
He knew that with the train's output in such a short time, ordinary messengers, like those fragile creatures on the Immortal Boat, would probably have been dead long ago.
Shortly after, the train set paused its output and moved backward, revealing the giant worm Baltan.
Baltan was covered in wounds, his insect shell creaking and cracking, on the verge of breaking apart.
"Keep firing! Don't give her a break!" Himeko yelled.
"grumble!"
Suddenly, the sound of insects screech rang out, and Baltan's body began to split apart.
Spah felt his muscles ache and could no longer hold onto the Chains of Heaven, so he had to let go and back away.
Wow!
The several-kilometer-long Sky Lock shattered completely in an instant, turning into golden dust and dissipating into the starry sky.
Spa took several steps back, steadied himself, and looked at Baltan, only to see an unbelievable sight.
He saw that the sky was densely packed with Baltan figures, and he estimated that there were more than five hundred of them.
This is just too much...
Even Spall had never witnessed such a scene before. His heart sank immediately.
Even more deadly, the giant insects opened their mouths, and golden light gathered in their throats, all converging in one direction.
That's where the train crew is located.
Clang!
Destructive flames ripped through the starry sky and crashed into the energy shield.
Even five hundred Commander-level attacks wouldn't be able to break through Spa's defensive barrier in a short time.
Spare calmed down a bit and prepared to call for the train crew to evacuate.
But the next second...
Creak! Creak, creak...
The energy shield shattered, and destructive flames surged towards the train.
Although that power was weakened by the shield and its strength was no longer comparable to that of a level-four warrior, it was still enough to devastate a planet, something that ordinary travelers could not withstand.
And this raging flame crashed straight into March 7th.
Chapter 26: Conquering the Stars, Using Oneself as a Shield
Xing was standing not far away at that moment.
She witnessed the destructive heat and the flashing white light, and her heart pounded, her body trembling involuntarily.
Is this... fear? Or excitement?
She didn't know.
As a newborn baby, Xing simply couldn't think about such complicated things. Only one thought remained in her mind:
My friend is in danger! I must protect her!
The moment the thought arose, Xing rushed out, spreading her arms to block March 7th's path. At the same time, destructive energy crashed in.
boom!
The white light devoured everything.
There was no chance to feel pain. Xing only felt her vision blurry, dizzy, and lost consciousness. Everything went black before her eyes.
