Chapter 20 Hermione's Disgrace and Cold Resentment from Classmates
Chapter 20 Hermione's Disgrace and Cold Resentment from Classmates
When Madam Huoqi saw the mess on the ground, she knew that there must have been a conflict between the Lion and Snake Houses.
Having served in her position for over a decade, she must have witnessed countless scenes of gang warfare, so she was no longer surprised by anything.
However, the exact cause and reason for this conflict must be investigated.
When the Slytherins saw Madam Hooch, they all came running to her, crying and complaining of their humiliation.
"Professor! It's Gryffindor provoking us!"
"They're hitting people with flying broomsticks! This is not how wizards behave!"
"That's right, they attacked Malfoy first, and now they're going to attack us!"
"Teacher, please save Malfoy! He looks like he's dying!"
Upon hearing such a distorted account, the Gryffindor students were naturally enraged and rushed over, claiming that Malfoy had provoked them first.
Dozens of tongues moved at once, spraying hundreds of drops of saliva haphazardly. Madam Huo Qi's temples throbbed, her head buzzed, and she wished she could flip over the top of her head and jump out.
She used a megaphone spell to shout, "Silence!"
"Phew... Alright, now can anyone tell me where Mr. Malfoy is?"
Upon hearing her question, all the students stepped aside, only to see something lying on the ground that looked three parts human and seven parts ghost.
Mrs. Huo Qi approached and looked closer, then exclaimed in surprise.
The fellow lying on the ground had lips swollen like intestines, a face covered in rashes, hair growing on the backs of his hands, and a round, bulging belly. Even the giant monster looked like a handsome young man compared to him.
Although his face was no longer recognizable as human, one could tell he was Malfoy by his hair color.
Mrs. Hodge was both shocked and furious. "Who did this?"
Upon hearing this, Harry took a step forward, but before he could speak, Madam Hooch interrupted him, "Mr. Potter, please don't tell me you did all of this by yourself. I'm not that stupid."
Harry cupped his hands and said, "Professor, this is certainly not my doing, but I am not one of our Gryffindor brothers and sisters either."
Mrs. Hodge frowned. "Are you going to tell me it was Mr. Malfoy himself?"
Harry said, "If you want to know, you'll have to ask these Slytherin heroes."
The Slytherin students refused to admit it and protested. The Gryffindor students, seeing their shamelessness, were also enraged and cursed them.
Lady Hooch used a loudspeaker spell again before things quieted down.
"Mr. Potter, please hand me your wand," Mrs. Hodge said sternly. "Mr. Malfoy has been cursed with at least dozens of spells, which is no less serious than getting into a brawl."
Harry is upright and honest, and has never lied or deceived anyone, so he naturally has nothing to hide.
He handed over the wand, and Lady Hodge cast a flashback spell, revealing all the spells that the wand had recently cast.
After examining Harry's wand closely, Mrs. Hooch was startled. He hadn't used any spells today? Could Harry be telling the truth?
She turned her head sharply. "Miss Pansy, please give me your wand."
Pansy, a Slytherin who looked like a poodle, stammered, "Professor, shouldn't we check on the Gryffindor students first?"
"Of course I'll investigate theirs too, but what I need to know now is who attacked Mr. Malfoy!"
Upon hearing this, the Slytherin students were all devastated.
After their wands were all examined, Mrs. Hodge was furious.
"I never imagined Mr. Potter was actually telling the truth!"
"Fighting is common, but how could you bear to cast a curse on a partner who entrusted their back to you!"
"Slytherin, deduct twenty points!"
The Gryffindor students cheered to themselves upon hearing this.
With the call reaching halfway through, Mrs. Hooch added, "Gryffindor, deduct twenty points! Fighting!"
The Slytherins, upon hearing this, were all gloating.
As the saying goes, joy turns to sorrow. Lady Hooch added, "Slytherin is no exception; fighting, another twenty points deducted!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Gryffindor cheered even more.
If they deduct more points than we do, isn't that the same as us gaining points?
It is:
Mrs. Hooch deducted points, and the Snake Court lost forty points.
The Lion House also lost twenty strings of cash, and the hourglass swelled like twenty taels of oil.
After class, Ron and the others surrounded Harry and headed to the dining hall, shouting that they had won a great victory over Slytherin.
When the Gryffindor upperclassmen heard this, they all rushed over to ask what was going on. Ron told them about today's flying lesson, and the whole room cheered.
Ron, beaming with excitement, recounted how Harry used a flying broomstick to teach a dozen Slytherins a lesson, eliciting gasps of astonishment.
"Great Lion King, you've only been at the school for a little over half a month, and you've already inflicted such heavy damage on Slytherin?"
Fred shook his head for a moment, then raised his glass and said, "A salute to you, great savior!"
Harry clinked glasses with him. "If I don't teach those cocky bastards a lesson, how can I teach them a lesson they won't forget?"
"I only regret that I lack the strength. If I were older and stronger, I could easily take on a hundred or so Slytherins!"
George rolled his eyes and said, "Hey Harry, if you want to get stronger, I can help you."
Harry was startled and cupped his hands in greeting, saying, "Brother George, you have such abilities? I hope you can teach me how."
"Oh, great Lion King, please allow me to keep this secret for a moment."
"Oh dear! I hate this kind of suspense the most!"
The Gryffindor students were laughing and joking, but Hermione looked worried and said anxiously, "I'm telling you, we lost a full twenty points! Slytherin still has the most points!"
Just when everyone was enjoying themselves, Hermione said such discouraging things. The first-year students ignored her, and the older students shook their heads and laughed.
Hermione felt wronged and sullen when no one paid attention to her.
A fifth-year red-haired wizard saw this and stepped forward, saying, "Don't be sad, Hermione, they're just more playful."
As the saying goes, "If you see fire and clouds, it must be the Weasleys." This red-haired wizard was none other than Ron's third brother, Percy.
He's currently in fifth grade and serves as a prefect. Seeing Hermione's studious nature and how she resembles him, he intends to offer her some guidance:
"But you have to know that sometimes grades aren't the most important thing."
Hermione was puzzled. "If grades don't matter, how are we going to win the House Cup?"
Percy shook his head repeatedly upon hearing this, thinking to himself that this girl's comprehension was too low and that her obsession with grades had clouded her mind.
After noon, the group went to a herbal medicine class.
Hermione was still preoccupied with the points she had lost. When Professor Sprout asked questions, she raised her hand frequently, taking on all the questions and gaining seven or eight points.
She was delighted and went to see her fellow Gryffindor students, but no one paid her any attention; they were all staring at the strange plant in their hands.
In the past, when they scored points, everyone applauded and cheered, even Potions class would give them a thumbs up. Now, however, they all act like blind and deaf people, which breaks Hermione's heart.

Even if I win the championship and the golden cup, I will sit alone at the long table, facing the empty wall.
