Chapter 53 The Arrow Thief
Chapter 53 The Arrow Thief
"Were they stolen by rats? Did they drag away these priceless auction items? Or... are you lying to me?"
"No, no, sir, all my auction items were here just a quarter of an hour ago. Someone definitely took them!"
Chen's expression turned cold.
Who else could take it?
"You, as the owner of the ship, have a thief who can steal right under your nose... Could it be the work of your loyal servant who loves to play with magic?"
Hol. Hols, of course, dared not, and hurriedly denied it, then remembered something.
"Your Highness, is there a small Egyptian lion pendant among the auction items?"
"That's right, but how did you know? All the items in the auction were kept secret!"
"Because, because I saw it before, where was it again... I think it was in the cabin?"
Upon hearing this, the prince, like a rabbit in a panic, ran up to the deck.
This action made Hol Hols feel ashamed; he looked at Chen as if he were seeing a demon.
Chen, however, said he didn't care. He could catch up with him anyway, so he didn't need to kill him and wasn't afraid that the prince would renege on his promise.
When they arrived at the cabin and carefully examined the unconscious guests, some glittering objects fell from the ceiling above the cabin.
There were so many things that none of the three people were injured, but some heavy objects smashed through the deck.
"This is... isn't this a Sphinx sculpture? And this is one of your auction items?"
Chen knew he was talking nonsense. During his questioning, he glanced at the items and they almost blinded him.
He had no other thoughts, except that if these were all auction items, then the arrow might be hidden among them.
So while the other two were dumbfounded, he rushed over and started rummaging through them.
"Find it for me, all I need right now is that arrow!"
The two finally snapped out of their daze and joined the search.
Half an hour passed, and there was still no sign of an arrow. They were so eager to turn the deck upside down that they still couldn't find what they wanted.
"Prince, what's going on? Someone stole it, but why is it stored on the ceiling? And where are the arrows? Where are my arrows!?"
Chen seemed a little anxious, which made the two of them nervous and flustered.
"Sir... there might be additional enemies; he... took the arrows."
Joe is back, standing outside the cabin.
The reason he returned was because he could sense that something had changed; it was a communication between his soul and the arrow, so he guessed that something might have happened to the arrow.
"Where?"
"We can't pinpoint the exact location, but we know the arrow seems to have changed, and it's still on this ship."
Some people were carrying arrows and trying to escape. Although they hadn't left the ship yet, to be fair, it would take anyone two days to search such a large ship, one by one.
Chen sighed helplessly and walked out of the cabin. The two people behind him followed, but they didn't dare to get close.
The wind outside became somewhat volatile, which also made Chen angry.
So he kicked the bodyguard's corpse, and after kicking it, he glanced around and noticed something strange.
"Where's that girl? Wasn't she knocked unconscious by my slap? Where is she?"
In front of the bodyguard's body, only Nayewi remained unconscious.
"Prince, is this your power? The ability to affect people's sight or hearing?"
"Yes, yes, your friend saw the illusion I created, and thus experienced hallucinations, which may affect you..."
"It doesn't work for me, so it only works for ordinary people?"
"Yes, Stand users are unaffected, and so is Hol Hol.
Therefore, that girl was also a Stand user, and it's highly likely that she stole the arrow.
"You can't judge a book by its cover!"
He turned his head, veins bulging.
"It's that bread-selling girl; she's very likely the one who stole the arrow. We have to find her!"
The prince was the first to move, heading towards another cabin.
The other two, also energized, scattered, seemingly determined to retrieve the arrows for Chen.
Chen himself did not move immediately. Although he appeared extremely angry and furious, he was squatting on the ground and began to think, occasionally glancing at Nayevi's eyelids.
"I remember, her condition was the same as Nayevi's back then, she looked like a zombie, baring her teeth and claws... Was that an act?"
Bang--,
A gunshot suddenly rang out, shattering the air.
It was Hol Hols; he seemed to have encountered something.
In just two seconds, two more invisible blades of energy flew over from above. One slashed through the sky, and the other sliced open the ship's forecourt. Then the massive structure began to collapse, with part of it falling to the seabed and the rest crashing onto the deck.
The loud noise drew the attention of everyone—those who were asleep, those who weren't, and those who couldn't afford to attend the banquet.
Naturally, a wave of panic ensued, causing Chen a great headache.
"Something's happened on both sides, which way should I go?"
Without time for careful consideration, he decided to go and support the prince, since the commotion there would be much greater, and therefore fewer bystanders.
"Hey, what happened?"
Chen finally found the prince on the fifth floor below the ordinary cabin.
However, he didn't seem to be in good condition because he had lost his left hand and was bleeding profusely.
"Sir, there's more than one... There are at least thirty Stand users here!"
"What did you say?!"
......
"That hypothesis is probably unlikely to hold true, so SPW dispatched a detection-type Stand user who can determine someone's whereabouts by looking at the footprints on the ground."
"This will be of great help to us. As long as we can collect enough of the demon's footprints, we can trace a path."
After regrouping, Rongrong and her group waited in the church for SPW reinforcements to arrive.
"Hey, Polnareff, where's your Stand?"
"It was taken by the insect arrow."
"What kind of argument is that? The Insect Arrow is in Giorno's hands, isn't it? If it's been taken away, make him return it."
Fugo had no idea what had happened, and even after the story was recounted, he still found it unbelievable.
Your Requiem's power is way too overpowered! And how can you still exist if your Stand is dead?
He glanced at Giorno, and then at the powerful, mysterious, and beautiful Huang Zhen behind him, and knew that he had to accept this absurd experience.
"Fugo, you're here."
SPW’s iconic helicopter landed in front of the church, and then two people, and even a cat, got out of the helicopter.
If Chen were there, he would definitely say, "What a familiar scene! Could that cat be a Stand user?"
"Giorno, this cat is your reinforcement. Its name is Butch, and its Stand is called 'Cat Mark'."
......
Cat Print
ability:
1. Cat Paw Prints: Capable of extracting animal footprints from the ground and measuring their size using whiskers. Then, by stepping on paper with a cat's paw, it can accurately reconstruct the soles of the animal's feet, observing the path the footprints follow to determine its movements. Furthermore, it can convey the cat's thoughts in writing.
2. Painful Strike: Cat paw prints are poisonous. If you prick an enemy's wound, the poison will spread throughout their body within half a minute, causing paralysis or even death.
