Chapter 465 is definitely fine.

Time flies like an arrow, and in the blink of an eye, it's December 10th, the eve of the college entrance examination.

After dinner, Li Xiaohua repeatedly checked the documents and stationery she needed to bring the next day, looking nervous.

"Is everything ready?" Li Xiangyang asked.

Li Xiaohua nodded: "Yes, everything is ready."

"Get some rest so you'll be energetic for tomorrow's exam," Li's mother said, looking at her daughter with concern.

Li Xiaohua sat on the edge of the bed, unable to calm down. Just then, there was a gentle knock on the door, and Li Xiaoyun walked in.

"Still not asleep?" Li Xiaoyun sat down next to Li Xiaohua.

Li Xiaohua shook her head: "I can't sleep, I'm too nervous."

Li Xiaoyun smiled: "It's normal to be nervous before exams. I'll teach you a relaxation technique..."

Li Xiaoyun taught Li Xiaohua a few deep breathing exercises, then said softly, "Remember, when you take the exam tomorrow, treat it like a practice test. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. You're already very well prepared."

Li Xiaohua nodded, her nervousness easing slightly.

"Alright, get some rest." Li Xiaoyun patted her sister-in-law's hand, got up and left.

When Li Xiaoyun closed the door and came out, she saw Li Xiangyang leaning against the wall in the corridor, with a worried look on his face.

"How is Xiaohua?" he asked in a low voice.

Li Xiaoyun walked to her husband's side: "I'm a little nervous, but it should be fine. What about you? Why aren't you asleep yet?"

Li Xiangyang gave a wry smile: "I'm even more nervous than Xiaohua."

Li Xiaoyun took her husband's hand: "Come on, let's go outside for some fresh air."

……

On December 10th, just as dawn was breaking, the Li family was already busy.

Li's mother got up early and prepared a sumptuous breakfast.

Li Xiaohua ate a few bites and then began a final check of the things she needed to bring.

"Did you bring your admission ticket?" Li Xiangyang asked.

“I brought it.” Li Xiaohua patted the pocket on her chest.

"Are you sure you have pencils, erasers, and rulers ready?" Li Xiaoyun asked.

“They’re all here.” Li Xiaohua shook the pencil case in her hand.

"Are you dressed warmly enough?" Li's mother asked, touching her daughter's clothes with concern.

“It’s warm enough, Mom,” Li Xiaohua replied with a smile.

"Alright, everything's ready. Let's head out and get to the exam venue early to familiarize ourselves with the environment," Li Xiangyang said, glancing at the time.

The family went out together and arrived at the examination hall. They watched Li Xiaohua's figure disappear into the school gate, silently praying that she would succeed in one attempt.

After the first exam, Li Xiaohua walked out of the exam room and saw her family waiting outside the school gate. She quickly walked over to them.

"How did the exam go?" Li Xiangyang asked impatiently.

Li Xiaohua bit her lip: "My Chinese was alright. The essay topic was 'Choices of Youth,' and I wrote about my experiences returning to my hometown and taking the college entrance exam. I should get a good number of points."

"That's good, that's good." Li's mother held her daughter's hand, looking her up and down, afraid that she might be uncomfortable.

Li Xiaoyun handed over the prepared hot water and snacks: "Eat something first to replenish your energy; you have a math exam this afternoon."

Li Xiaohua nodded and silently ate her snack.

"Is there anything I need to review on the fly?" Li Xiaoyun asked.

Li Xiaohua thought for a moment: "I can't quite remember a few of the trigonometric function formulas."

Li Xiaoyun immediately took out her notebook, flipped to the relevant page, and quickly reviewed with Li Xiaohua.

At noon, the family had a simple lunch and then took Li Xiaohua back to the examination hall.

When Li Xiaohua came out of the math exam in the afternoon, she didn't look too good.

"What's wrong?" Li Xiangyang asked with concern.

"I didn't finish the last big question," Li Xiaohua said, her eyes reddening. "It was too hard..."

"It's okay," Li Xiangyang comforted her. "Math is inherently difficult; everyone faces the same challenges. The important thing is the upcoming exam. Don't let your emotions carry over to tomorrow."

Back home, Li's mother prepared a sumptuous dinner, hoping to help her daughter relax.

At the dinner table, everyone deliberately avoided the topic of exams and chatted about lighthearted everyday matters.

Li Wangchen seemed to sense his aunt's low spirits, so he went to her side and took out some of his treasured candies: "Auntie, here's some candy for you. It'll make you feel better."

Li Xiaohua was amused by her nephew's innocence and cuteness, and patted his little head: "Thank you, Wangchen, Auntie is much better now."

That evening, Li Xiaohua went to her room early to rest and prepare for the exam the next day.

Li Xiaoyun helped her organize the key points of English and politics, and posted them on the headboard so that she could review them before going to sleep.

The exams proceeded as scheduled over the next few days.

Every day, Li Xiangyang's family would take Li Xiaohua to the examination hall on time and then anxiously wait for her to come out.

Sometimes when she does well on a test, Li Xiaohua will excitedly share the questions and answers with her family; other times when she doesn't do well, she will become quiet and withdrawn, staying in her room alone and flipping through her textbooks, as if she can still make up for it.

On the day the last exam ended, snowflakes began to fall.

Li Xiaohua walked out of the examination room, tilted her head back, and let the snowflakes fall on her face, as if to wash away the fatigue and tension of the past few days.

“It’s over,” she said softly, a relieved smile playing on her lips.

Li Xiangyang stepped forward and patted his sister on the shoulder: "You've worked hard."

"What do you want to eat tonight?" Li's mother asked. "I'll make it for you."

Li Xiaohua thought for a moment and said, "I want to eat braised pork."

Li Xiangyang laughed: "Sure, I'll take you to a restaurant for a good meal."

Upon arriving at the restaurant, Li Xiangyang ordered a table full of dishes.

With the pressure of the college entrance exam finally relieved, Li Xiaohua became more talkative, teasing Li Wangchen and making the little guy giggle.

"Xiaohua, you've finished your exams, what are your plans?" Li Xiaoyun asked with a smile.

Li Xiaohua put down her chopsticks and said earnestly, "I want to go back to the village with my brother. It's been so long since I've been back, and I really miss it."

Li Xiangyang was somewhat surprised: "Going back now? Aren't you staying in the city to wait for the results?"

Li Xiaohua shook her head: "Anyway, the result is already decided, so I might as well go back and relax. Besides," she winked mischievously, "I still want to try my sister-in-law's braised wild rabbit."

Li Xiaoyun smiled: "Then I'll have to prepare properly, I can't let you down."

The next morning, Li Xiangyang, his family of three, and Li Xiaohua packed their luggage and prepared to return to Xiaoliang Village.

Li's mother saw him to the door, reluctant to part: "Take care on the road."

After saying goodbye to his mother, he returned to Xiaoliang Village. Just as he entered the village, he encountered Wang Ergou, who was walking out.

"Hey, you're back?" Wang Ergou greeted him with delight. "How did Xiaohua do on her college entrance exam?"

Li Xiaohua smiled shyly: "It's alright, I hope I can pass the exam."

A cold wind carrying fine snow swept by, and Wang Ergou rubbed his hands together, exhaling white mist: "With Xiaohua's cleverness, there'll definitely be no problem. Your brother Ergou caught a lot of rabbits the other day; let me get you two so your sister-in-law can stew them for you to celebrate."
