Chapter 2929 - 2458: He Will Listen to Whatever You Say

Joanna Lawrence thought that the waiter must have been arranged by Lady Parker to wait for her at the door early in the morning.

She nodded and followed the waiter to the private room.

A moment later.

"Lady Parker, Ms. Joanna has arrived."

The waiter led her to the door of a private room, gently pushing the door open.

Joanna walked in, expecting to see an exquisite and elegantly dressed noble madam. Instead, she saw Lady Parker without refined makeup but rather looking exhausted.

Though she wore makeup, it was apparent that she hadn’t put much effort into getting dressed.

She appeared somewhat haggard, and her eyebrows and eyes were filled with worry.

"Ms. Joanna, you’ve arrived. Please have a seat." Lady Parker looked up, her eyes bloodshot, and a faint dark circle under them, giving the impression that she hadn’t rested well. Her voice was also a bit hoarse.

Joanna sat down across from her.

"What would Ms. Joanna like to drink? Tea or coffee?" Lady Parker asked while pouring a cup of coffee and handing it to Joanna, "I didn’t know your preferences, so I ordered the tea I usually drink. You don’t mind, do you, Ms. Joanna?"

"Of course not, I’m fine with either." Joanna took the coffee cup and put it on the table, thought for a moment, and asked directly, "I wonder why Lady Parker is looking for me?"

Lady Parker hesitated, poured herself another cup of coffee, and then sighed, "Ms. Joanna is very smart, and I guess you already know I’m looking for you because of Frank. I know my request is a bit difficult, but now I have no other choice."

"Now, only Ms. Joanna can help me." Lady Parker’s eyes became red-rimmed, and she choked, "Ms. Joanna, can you help me persuade Frank? He doesn’t listen to anyone else, but he might listen to you."

Joanna furrowed her eyebrows.

Lady Parker’s words were somewhat inappropriate.

She was already married.

There were no outsiders here, but if there were, people who heard Lady Parker’s words would definitely think too much.

They would think Joanna had a special relationship with Frank Parker.

There had already been several rumors about her and Frank Parker. The most recent one had just cooled down recently.

When Joanna spoke again, her tone deepened, "Lady Parker, Frank is your son. If you can’t persuade him, I definitely can’t either. If you’re looking for me for this matter, I think you have the wrong person."

"No, if Ms. Joanna is willing to persuade him, it must be useful." Lady Parker suddenly became agitated, afraid that Joanna would refuse or for some other reason, "Frank likes you, and he will listen to you."

"Ms. Joanna, as long as you go and talk to Frank, let him come home, and let him stop being angry with me, he will listen to you!"

Joanna’s eyebrows tightened further, she stood up and said in a serious tone, "Lady Parker, I’m not even a regular friend with your son. The rumors you’ve seen are all false. He doesn’t like me."

"I’m sorry, but I can’t fulfill your request. I have other things to do, so please excuse me."

With that, Joanna turned and walked away.

"Ms. Joanna, I beg you, please help me." Lady Parker saw her leaving and quickly stood up to catch up with her. She reached out to grab her hand, choking with tears, "Frank wants to cut off his mother-son relationship with me and leave the Parker family because of you."
