Chapter 182 Frieza's Power
Chapter 182 Frieza's Power
"We've finally made it."
"Yes."
"Don't come any closer, get out of here!" Neru shouted at them.
Even if we can't beat him, even if he kills us in the end, we still have to fight!
"That's right, we are warriors of our tribe too!"
Frieza seemed to have heard the most absurd joke in the world, a twisted sneer on his face. "You are warriors?" he said, then slowly placed his hand on the combat power detector, which immediately emitted a series of rapid "beep beep beep" sounds.
A moment later, Frieza's face showed extreme contempt, and he said disdainfully, "The combined fighting power of the three of you is less than that. The abilities of the warriors on your planet are nothing special; in my eyes, they are all a bunch of trash."
One of the Namekian warriors was immediately enraged, his eyes widening as he roared, "What did you say?"
Seeing this, Frieza's sneer deepened, and he burst into arrogant laughter: "Hohohohohoho, I say everyone here is trash."
The warrior was furious. He ripped off his cloak and shouted, "Damn it, Neru! The Grand Elder is in your hands now!"
Seeing this, Neru hurriedly shouted anxiously, "Stop! You're no match for him!"
Inside the house, the elder sat quietly, yet he keenly sensed the resolute actions of the three soldiers outside. His eyes instantly filled with sorrow, and he silently murmured, "My children..."
Undeterred, the three warriors, their eyes burning with fury, rapidly gathered dazzling energy in their hands and charged towards Frieza like arrows released from a bow. Frieza, however, remained standing calmly, as if the attacks of these three were nothing more than child's play to him.
Just as the three warriors were about to approach him, Frieza simply parted his lips and slowly exhaled. In an instant, a terrifyingly powerful gust of wind suddenly erupted, like a raging tornado, sweeping the three men into it with overwhelming force, then tossing them into the air and instantly dispersing them.
One of the warriors was hurled violently against the mountainside with a loud crash, then slid down helplessly; another warrior broke a thick tree, and amidst flying branches and leaves, plunged headfirst into the nearby lake, splashing a huge spray; and yet another warrior landed right in front of Frieza.
Frieza didn't even glance at him. He leaped up, grabbed the warrior by the neck with deadly precision, and lifted him high into the air. The warrior's feet dangled in the air, his hands struggling in vain. Frieza's lips curled into a cruel smirk as he leaned closer and said, slowly and deliberately, "Tell me, what's the password to grant a wish?"
The warrior, his neck gripped tightly by Frieza, was flushed and struggling to breathe. He could only shake his head with difficulty to show that he would not utter a single word.
Seeing this, Frieza sneered disdainfully, "Hmph, I'm truly laughable for wasting my time on worthless trash like you, even fantasizing about getting answers from you. What an unrealistic idea." With that, he released his grip, and the warrior plummeted straight down like a kite with a broken string.
Nail was frantic, wanting to rush over and catch the falling warrior. However, just as the warrior was about to hit the ground, Frieza's lips curled into a cruel smile, and he slowly extended his right hand. A dazzling energy wave shot out instantly, accurately piercing through the warrior's body.
The warrior's body was struck as if by lightning, bounced heavily after hitting the ground, and finally fell helplessly off the cliff. Seeing this, Naru wanted to rush down the cliff to save them without thinking, but Frieza slowly landed in front of him, blocking his way.
With his back to Nail, Frieza spoke with a hint of languor and arrogance: "I advise you to just tell me the password to grant your wish. I'm only here to have a wish granted. If you tell me, I won't kill you. So, tell me."
Neru's face was ashen, and he said coldly, "Then go ahead and try asking. But before that, I have something to tell you."
A hint of interest flashed in Frieza's eyes. He tilted his head slightly and said, "Oh? What is it? Tell me."
Nail's expression was cold as he spoke slowly and deliberately: "The other Namekian in this room is our Namekian Elder. The seven Dragon Balls you've been trying so hard to collect were made by the Elder himself. You might as well use the machine in front of you to check on the Elder's health; he is now on the verge of death. Once the Elder passes away, the Dragon Balls he made will also disappear."
Upon hearing this, Frieza couldn't help but show a surprised expression and blurted out, "Oh? The Grand Elder?" After saying that, he slowly removed the combat power detector from his ear, and his eyes instantly shot out two blazing lasers. With a "sizzle," the glass cover in front of the Grand Elder was instantly melted by the high temperature.
Immediately afterwards, Frieza slowly flew into the air and looked at the Grand Elder who was sitting there. Frieza looked the Grand Elder up and down, and said with a slight smile, "As expected of the Grand Elder, he is quite different from those other ordinary Namekians."
Frieza's lips curled into a sinister smile as he looked at the Grand Elder, his tone laced with threat: "Grand Elder, I bet you won't readily tell me the password to grant your wish right now. But, if I kill this guy, will you change your mind?" As he spoke, he glanced sideways at Nail.
The Elder slowly opened his eyes, his gaze clear and resolute. He looked at Frieza and said slowly, "Frieza, I don't think you can defeat Nail so easily. Nail is the strongest warrior on Namek, and he is completely different from the Namekian warriors you have slaughtered before."
Upon hearing this, Frieza turned and glared fiercely at Nail, then gritted his teeth and said to the Grand Elder with a furious expression, "So, you're determined not to tell me the secret code to grant my wish?"
The elder did not respond to Frieza again, but instead quietly used telepathy to say to Naru, "Naru, I beg you, try to buy as much time as possible."
Neru nodded slightly and responded in his mind via telepathy: "Yes, Elder."
Seeing that the Grand Elder ignored his words, Frieza sneered, "Hmph, fine, you won't tell me the code, then I'll let you witness the power of the universe's number one warrior!" With that, he slowly put the combat power detector back on his ear, his eyes filled with savagery and ruthlessness, and let out a chilling laugh.
"Hohohohohohoho!"
