Chapter 50 Alien Path
Chapter 50 Alien Path
Although Cyborg was driven crazy by the all-knowing leader, he still had to form a special superhuman alliance according to the leader's ideas.
Because Wonder Woman and Aquaman have demonstrated that ordinary human armies are extremely ineffective in conflicts of this magnitude.
The stark disparity in conventional strength between the two sides would lead every staff to the same conclusion: a crushing defeat. Therefore, their only hope would be a decapitation strike.
A special tactical squad quickly in and out to take down Aquaman and Wonder Woman, hoping to facilitate peace talks.
Steelbone is currently mentally reviewing the personnel list:
It is Leonard Snider, the Cold Captain of Central City, who wields a high-tech ion gun that can instantly freeze a person into an ice sculpture.
Shazam, the leader of the Thunder in Fawcett City, is actually six children led by Billy Batson. When they gather together and shout "Shazam!", they can transform into a powerful warrior who combines the power of six gods.
The Elemental Woman from the military laboratory can shapeshift, generate heat, and control substances such as ice, fire, and earth.
And there's this enchantress who came from who-knows-where. Who is she anyway?
And perhaps the most useful person, Green Lantern member Abin Sue, who describes himself as "the greatest Green Lantern," was assigned by a planet deep in the universe called Oa to patrol sector 2814, where Earth is located, with the mission of maintaining peace and life in this region.
After surviving the crash, Abin Sue briefly made contact with Cyborg before leaving the planet. He was the first officially confirmed extraterrestrial visitor, a true "first contact."
He was going to Oa to report on what was happening on Earth and to ask the Lightbringer for reinforcements. Now, judging by the time it had been, he should be back by now.
Just as the thread on Cyborg's side remembered this, another thread received a communication request from Abin Su, who was piloting his spaceship and was about to approach the edge of the solar system.
From Steelbone's perspective, although the other person's entire face was purplish-red, the results returned by the emotion analysis module indicated that their complexion was clearly not very good.
"Abin Sue, what are your Green Lantern Corps' plans?"
Abin Su's mood was noticeably lower than before he left Earth; his enthusiasm seemed to have vanished instantly. He certainly didn't bring good news.
"There are no reinforcements left. The Green Lantern Corps is currently too busy, but I will still fight alongside you on Earth. Communication ended."
Abin Sue wanted to request the Green Lantern Corps' support to quell the conflict on Earth, but the ruthlessness of the Oa Guardians made Abin Sue question the meaning of the Green Lantern Corps' existence for the first time.
In his view, the battle between the two remnants of the Old Gods could be resolved by sending a dozen elite Green Lantern Legion members like himself and Sinestro.
But the Guardian merely uttered the words "Earth is doomed to destruction," ordered himself to go to Earth to retrieve something of utmost importance, and then withdrew from Earth, leaving them to fend for themselves.
The Guardians of Oa established the Green Lantern Corps to protect life, so why do they allow themselves to let all living things on Earth fend for themselves?!
"Don't act rashly, Abin Sue. The Lantern Corps is now attacked from both sides and can't open up new fronts on Earth. Once you have the 'Spirit of Existence,' retreat immediately!"
The guardian's command once again echoed from Abin Su's lamp ring, which had parted on bad terms with the guardian:
"Think of the trillions of other living beings in the universe; their lives are far more important than those dying on Earth!"
"No! Go to hell!"
The usually refined and easygoing Abin Sue cursed at his former respected guardian, then unilaterally cut off the Green Lantern Ring's communications and piloted his spaceship toward the solar system.
"All lives matter!"

Joey once read a science fiction short story called "Alien Ways," which talked about how simple the technological principles of faster-than-light travel in the universe were.
It's as simple as rubbing flint together to create a spark, a high-temperature flame to cook food, or sulfur, saltpeter, and charcoal to cause an explosion.
Almost all races discover the basic principles of hyperspace travel and anti-gravity fields around the time they enter the Iron Age, and then enter the interstellar age.
Besides humans, humanity has made tremendous strides in other technological fields over thousands of years of development, especially in the area of mutual combat, where it has reached its pinnacle.
Humanity would have faced nuclear winter or internal decay in a series of wars, until one day a spaceship from an interstellar colonial empire invaded Earth. The colonists, armed with flintlock muskets and bayonets, brought Earthlings the basic technologies of hyperspace travel and anti-gravity fields.
At this moment, Joey is in the lonely fortress in the Arctic, looking through the various items from her spaceship under Kara's guidance.
Some clusters of crystals particularly caught Joey's attention. They once held a very important place in Kryptonian history and were known as Sunstones, which were the core of all Kryptonian technology.
Even though many technologies related to Sunstone have been lost, the things these crystals can do are beyond imagination. For example, the entire Lonely Fortress is made of these crystals.
Guided by the core system on that tiny spaceship, these sunstones virtually created themselves, replicating and programming themselves, and in no time at all, they constructed the solitary fortress that Joey had envisioned in the Arctic.
In this process, only a large glacier and some seabed rock layers beneath it are consumed. During the crystal proliferation process, they are completely dismantled and transformed into the crystal material structure of Lonely Fortress today.
Looking at the technology, Joey couldn't help but marvel at Krypton's advanced technology, but a sense of unease also arose in his heart, just like when he watched "Alien" in his previous life.
Even without the superpowers of being under the sunlight of a yellow planet, a race with such advanced technology would be unlikely to be helpless in the face of the destruction of its own planet.
