"No-Sword Style: Serpent's Bite!"
With a sharp cry, Kuina moved with lightning speed, launching an attack on Barton! Her hand blurred into a blur, aiming straight for his throat! This was a deadly unarmed move she had mastered after integrating the control of power she had learned from Garp's training into her own swordsmanship!
"act recklessly!"
Elder Barton's eyes flashed with a cold light, and the snake-headed cane seemed to come alive, pointing at Guina's wrist at an extremely tricky angle!
The speed is amazing!
Kuina's pupils contracted; it was too late to change her move!
The cane landed precisely on her wrist!
A cold and domineering force instantly invaded!
Guina felt as if her entire arm had been bitten by a venomous snake, instantly going numb and excruciatingly painful! She groaned and staggered backward, cold sweat beading on her forehead.
Her right hand... is temporarily useless!
"Kuina!" Ace and Sabo, who had just struggled to his feet, exclaimed at the same time.
Robin frowned as well. Countless tiny hands tried to coalesce again, but it was as if they had hit an invisible wall, unable to get within three feet of Elder Barton!
"Did you feel it, little girl?" Elder Barton slowly withdrew his cane, his tone playful like a cat toying with a mouse. "This is the power of 'dominance'! It's something you little brats who only know a little bit of the ropes can't understand!"
The four of them were shocked! They had vaguely heard Garp mention it, but had never actually seen it!
So... this is the power that rendered Robin's abilities ineffective and injured Kuina with a single blow?!
"Now, it's time to end it."
Elder Barton no longer held back, brandishing his cane and leaving afterimages as he attacked the injured Kuina, the besieged Ace, and the immobile Sabo like a venomous snake emerging from its hole!
The offensive was fierce, and the angles were ruthless!
Ace managed to block with his arm, but the immense force from the cane sent his blood surging, forcing him to stagger backward, a trickle of blood escaping from the corner of his mouth.
Sabo was struck in the chest by the staff, the excruciating pain almost suffocating him. The steel pipe flew out of his hand, and he crashed heavily into the wall!
Robin tried to interfere with her abilities, but the little hands inexplicably disintegrated again when they got close to Barton. She herself was also affected by the backlash, and her face turned even paler.
All four were injured!
The gap in strength is too large!
Elder Barton looked at the four boys and girls, some kneeling and some lying on the ground, all covered in wounds, and a cruel smile appeared on his face:
"Now, do you know the consequences of offending 'Black Serpent'?"
Inside the warehouse, there was a deathly silence.
Ace wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and struggled to stand up.
Sabo clutched his chest, his eyes defiant.
Guina braced herself with her uninjured left hand, trying to steady her trembling body.
Robin took a deep breath, his eyes remaining calm.
No one speaks.
But in all four pairs of eyes burned the same flame—
Chapter 55 Four People Arrested
It must be said that Elder Barton's strength is indeed formidable.
Even though the four of them were unwilling to admit defeat, they still...
Deep inside the warehouse, in a dark and damp cell.
The iron fence was cold and sturdy, covered in rust.
Ace, Sabo, Kuina, and Robin were roughly thrown in and slammed onto the floor covered with moldy straw. They were all injured, weak, and temporarily unable to resist.
The heavy iron gate was locked from the outside, and the thugs responsible for escorting the goods walked away, cursing and swearing.
The cell was filled with a foul smell of mildew and blood.
Ace struggled to sit up, leaning against the cold wall, spitting out a mouthful of bloody saliva, his eyes fierce: "Damn old man..."
Sabo clutched his still-painful chest, coughed twice, and said with a wry smile, "This time... I've really messed up."
Guina examined her paralyzed right arm with her uninjured left hand, her brow furrowed, clearly pondering a solution.
Robin sat quietly in the corner, silently circulating her abilities, trying to repair the mental damage caused by the impact of the "Haki".
In the midst of a stifling silence—
"Huff... ZZZ... Huff..."
A soft, rhythmic snore came from the innermost corner of the cell.
The four of them were startled at the same time and looked in the direction of the sound.
A small figure wearing a straw hat was curled up in a pile of straw, fast asleep! There was even a glistening drool hanging from the corner of its mouth!
Who else could it be but Luffy?!
He actually... slept the whole time?!
Ace, Sabo, Kuina, Robin: "..." (How big is this guy's heart?!)
Seemingly sensing everyone's gaze, Luffy rubbed his eyes groggily and sat up.
He yawned widely, stretched, and then looked around blankly—cold iron bars, rotten straw, and… four wounded companions with complicated expressions.
Luffy blinked his still-dazed eyes, a look of sudden realization mixed with a touch of smugness spreading across his face:
"Ah! Ace! Sabo! Kuina! Robin! You've finally come to save me!"
He jumped up excitedly, ran to the iron fence, shook it hard, and found it didn't budge. He then turned to look at the four people, his eyes filled with trust and... expectation?
"Quick! Open this! Let's go outside! I'm hungry again!"
Ace: "..."
Sabo: "..."
Guina: "..."
Robin: "..."
The four of them were speechless for a moment, looking at Luffy's matter-of-fact attitude, as if they hadn't been captured but had come specifically to rescue him.
Ace's temple throbbed, and he roared in exasperation, "Idiot! We were dragged in here too!"
"Huh?" Luffy's excitement froze instantly. He tilted his head, looked at Ace's injuries, then at Sabo's pale face and Kuina's drooping arm, and seemed to finally realize the seriousness of the situation.
"So...you guys were arrested too..." He scratched his head, a hint of disappointment on his face, but quickly rallied, clenching his fists, his eyes resolute:
"It's okay! Let's all work together to figure out a way to escape!"
He patted his chest vigorously: "Don't worry! I'm here! I'll definitely get you out of here!"
Ace, Sabo, Kuina, and Robin: "..." (We're even more worried now!)
Seeing Luffy's completely clueless yet inexplicably energetic appearance, the gloom in the hearts of the four, caused by their defeat and imprisonment, strangely dissipated.
Being around this single-celled organism seems... quite difficult to maintain a low-pressure atmosphere?
Ace sighed helplessly and sat down against the wall: "Forget it, let's recover our strength first."
Sabo resigned himself to his fate, sat cross-legged, and began to regulate his breathing.
Guina closed her eyes and continued trying to stimulate the numbness in her right arm.
Robin then began to carefully observe the structure of the cell and the activity outside.
Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, Luffy didn't care and started wandering around the cell by himself, knocking here and touching there, muttering to himself:
"This railing seems very sturdy... I wonder if I can pry it open..."
"Huh? There's a bug on the ground! It looks delicious..."
"Hey! Is anyone outside? Let us out! I'm hungry!"
In the quiet prison cell, Luffy's presence suddenly made the atmosphere... bizarre.
The originally tense and oppressive atmosphere was somehow turned into a bizarre... comical scene by him?
Ace watched Luffy jumping around energetically, his lips twitched slightly, and he whispered to Sabo beside him:
"Now I understand why the old man always wanted to beat him up..."
Sabo nodded in agreement: "I agree."
The night was deep, in a secluded mansion somewhere in the Kingdom of Goa.
Elder Barton returned to his house in high spirits.
He took off his dusty robe and tossed it aside, a hint of undisguised smugness on his face.
"Four brats... two with superhuman physical abilities, one with amazing swordsmanship talent, and one a Devil Fruit user..."
He muttered to himself, a greedy glint in his triangular eyes, "Especially that little girl who can grow arms out of thin air... Such a rare ability, if given to those big shots on the Grand Line, would definitely fetch an astronomical price!"
He seemed to see countless Pele beckoning to him.
"Once the 'goods' are all gathered in a few days, we'll get them out of here..."
Barton walked to the wine cabinet, poured himself a glass of expensive red wine, and took a leisurely sip.
However, at this moment——
In the corner of the room, on that expensive leather sofa, a figure had appeared sometime earlier.
The man sat with his back to him, his posture casual, as relaxed as if he were in his own home. In the dim light, only his slightly disheveled black hair and his hand, with its distinct knuckles, resting on the armrest of the sofa, could be seen. In that hand, he casually toyed with a simple, unadorned longsword.
Elder Barton froze instantly, his pupils shrinking sharply!
When did you come in?!
He was completely unaware!
A chill instantly shot from the soles of my feet to the top of my head!
