Chapter 36: I Want You to Be My Teacher
Chapter 36: I Want You to Be My Teacher
"Rhyperior is unable to battle; Pikachu wins!"
The teacher, acting as referee, showed a hint of surprise in his eyes, but still announced the result truthfully.
"How...is this possible!" The top student stood there stunned, blankly retracting her Super Armored Rhinoceros.
"I told you, theory can't decide everything!" Ash walked up to the top student and flashed a bright white smile at him.
"Tch!" The top student glanced away and walked straight toward Natsume.
"Natsume, how did you get that Pikachu's tail?"
The top student was very dissatisfied. She was willing to bet that if Natsume hadn't done something to that Pikachu, she would have won!
Natsume stood up, but instead of answering her, he looked up at the sky.
"Hey, don't ignore me!" The top student stomped his foot, but soon, a startled cry of fear came from above:
"Natsume, I warned you not to cause trouble at my school!!!"
Dean Jim descended from the sky onto the back of a fire-breathing dragon and landed in front of Natsume.
He was trembling with anger and raised his cane to strike Natsume on the head.
"Boom!"
Natsume grabbed the top student's shoulder and lifted him up, using his head to block the attack.
"Hey! Jim, what are you doing!"
"Oh! It's Miss Jiao Zi! I'm so sorry, are you enjoying your life at the academy?"
Jim smiled ingratiatingly, put away his cane, and then looked at Natsume with a scrutinizing gaze.
"I didn't, I wasn't, she was the one fighting." Natsume skillfully excused himself, and casually raised the Superior Prodigy in his hand.
Huh? Why is there smoke?
Natsume was puzzled, only to then notice wisps of blue smoke rising from the head of the top student.
When they turned it over, the other person's face turned bright red.
"What are you looking at? Put me down!"
Natsume put down the privileged student and ignored the other's murderous gaze.
Upon hearing this, Jim tapped his cane, looked around, and after a while, he was relieved to confirm that Natsume hadn't caused any more trouble.
"Natsume, I've arranged rooms for you. I'll take you there now."
"Can you wait a moment?"
"No!"
Jim smiled and placed a hand on Natsume's shoulder.
He can't wait to "place Natsume under house arrest" now.
Ideally, the other party would stay in the room until they leave tomorrow; at most, they'd blow up a building.
"Let's go, everyone!"
As Jim spoke, he looked at Ash and his group, intending to personally "escort" Natsume to his lodgings, but unexpectedly, the top student behind him spoke up:
"Jim, wait a minute!"
"Coming! What are your orders, Miss Jiaozi?"
To be honest, Jim gave his assistant a wink, signaling him to keep an eye on Natsume.
The assistant was sweating profusely.
"Uh... you guys, I'll lead the way from now on."
......
"Wow, it's a big villa. Natsume-nii, you're really impressive."
"Wow, the decor here is so nice! But why aren't there any other buildings around?"
"Hmm, it looks like it was just cleaned..."
Thankfully, nothing serious happened...
Behind the group, the assistant wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and left.
Silent all night.
The next day, at the entrance of the college.
Natsume got up early and went for a morning run around the lake at the academy.
On the second lap, a fire-breathing dragon appeared—Jim was watching it intently from above.
Fortunately, Natsume and the others were about to leave after having breakfast at the cafeteria.
At the entrance of the Kanto Pokémon Research Institute.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Grandpa Dean!"
Ash and the others bowed in unison to thank Jim.
"Haha, you're welcome, you're welcome! You three should come visit again next time!"
Jim waved goodbye, his face beaming with relief.
However, after walking only a few steps, Natsume and the others stopped.
The reason was simple: in front of them stood a figure with an exquisite appearance, like a porcelain doll.
He was a top student, and he also had a travel backpack on his back.
"Natsume, I want you to be my teacher." The top student looked at Natsume excitedly.
Natsume didn't speak. He reached out and grabbed the young prodigy's head as if he were holding a volleyball.
The top student: "?"
A twist—the academy gates appeared in the eyes of the top student.
"Look, your teacher is over there."
Natsume pointed to old man Jim at the gate of the courtyard.
The latter seemed to remember something, hurriedly closed the campus, and loudly announced:
"Ahem, because our top student damaged valuable school facilities during yesterday's battle, he has now been expelled!"
"Huh? He was expelled because of the battle? How could that happen?" Xiaoxia frowned upon hearing Jim's words.
"I'm so sorry, it was my fault that you got expelled." Ash bowed to the top student and apologized.
"Waaaaah... That means I have nowhere to go now." The top student covered his face, seemingly crying.
"Is she faking it?" Xiao Gang noticed something and whispered in Natsume's ear.
"I don't want to take in cowardly students." Natsume said expressionlessly.
The next second, the sobbing of the top student stopped, and he looked up at Natsume with determination in his eyes.
I like obedient and well-behaved students.
"Okay, so what do you want me to do?" Seeing that Natsume seemed to be relenting, a glimmer of hope appeared in the eyes of the privileged student.
Natsume turned her around and, as if activating a small toy, tugged at her backpack:
"I am now ordering you to return to the academy and attend classes."
"Natsume!" The top student turned around abruptly, looking at the other person, his eyes regaining their usual coldness:
"You're a researcher, right? And old Jim said you're short of money, right?"
As he spoke, the prodigy pulled out a black card with a Master Ball printed on it:
"My family owns the largest pharmaceutical company in the Kanto region. Here, take this card and use it!"
Natsume took the black card and scanned it against the back of his phone.
A little over 100 million.
"Wow, so many zeros! Natsume, we agree, right?" A gleam of light appeared in Kasumi's eyes.
"Hmph, how about that!" The top student looked at Natsume smugly.
That's not even a fraction of what's needed... Your family's shares are about the same.
"No." Natsume returned the card to the prodigy.
The latter was taken aback, and asked incredulously:
"Do you know how much money is inside?"
"Yes, it's already been transferred to my account."
The top student: "???"
Before the top student could speak, Natsume's expression suddenly darkened, and his aura became extremely powerful:
"I'll give you a chance," Natsume said, holding up one finger.
"I will guide you for a month. Within that month, you just need to publish a research report that is included in a top-tier journal."
"How is this possible?"
The top student glared angrily at Natsume:
"A month isn't nearly enough time, is it?"
"I've collected most of the data; you just need to write it down."
Upon hearing this, the top student was taken aback.
"Okay, that's more like it."
"Well..." The top student suddenly turned around and gracefully bowed to Natsume:
"Natsume-sensei, please take care of me."
"Hmm." Natsume patted the other person's head.
