The card given as a gift in Chapter 93, "The Serpent of Destiny"
The "Red Angel" evil spirit, possessing the body of "Admiral" Ludwell, glanced lazily at the "living corpses" on the street.
He could sense that the "zombie" had discovered his possession, but he didn't take it too seriously. In his eyes, it was like an ant extending its antennae at him. He didn't have time to stomp on such a small ant; it was meaningless and would easily expose him.
After recalling his memories of the "Red Angel," Raphael quickly looked away and continued walking forward with his head down.
After walking for a while and seeing that no one was chasing him, he finally breathed a long sigh of relief.
Then he "remembered" more information about the "Red Angel" evil spirit and realized that he was not in a good state.
Raphael then smiled and said, "I'm in luck today."
Of course, the main reason is that the "Red Angel" evil spirit was unaware of his secret, which Raphael had completely seen through. He only thought that the "Living One" had seen an extraordinary being possessing him.
If he knew he had been exposed, he would definitely kill him.
After quickly leaving the street, Raphael hurried to a taxi and headed to 160 Berklund Street.
Upon arriving at Dawn Dantes' villa, Raphael composed himself before getting out of the car with his folder.
Upon meeting Dawn and explaining his purpose, Dawn listened with a calm smile as Raphael briefly explained the findings of his investigation. After hearing that Kent Machinery Factory's new project was in collaboration with Backlund University of Technology, Dawn roughly understood what the "unexpected gain" meant.
However, Klein, disguised as Dawn Dantes, listened to Raphael's briefing without showing any emotion. He then asked to see the documents Raphael had collected. Guided by his spirituality, he quickly flipped through them and came across the list of the Backlund Technical University project team.
Then Klein spotted Melissa Moretti's name at a glance, and sure enough!
This is the "unexpected gain" that was revealed in the previous divination.
Obviously, this investment will fail and is very likely to be investigated by MI9. However, if the investment is made, there is a high chance that there will be some contact with Melissa.
Having figured everything out, Klein smiled and said to Raphael, "This investigation is very detailed, and your judgment is quite accurate, 300..."
How about pounds? I think this price is reasonable. Raphael waved his hand and said, "I'm here to make friends, not to do business with you."
The reason he has no money is mainly because he has little desire for money; he usually only goes out to "borrow" when he needs it.
In Raphael's view, a favor from a demigod was far more valuable than a gold pound, and even a small favor was worth more than a gold pound.
Klein shrugged and said, "Since you put it that way, then I won't stand on ceremony."
Save some money.
After a brief chat, Raphael, already aware that Klein was a demigod and would certainly not care about titles or beautiful widows, did not continue discussing the matter entrusted to him by the lady.
After chatting for more than ten minutes, Raphael got up to say goodbye.
Klein watched Raphael leave quickly from the second-floor window. He was still considering how to establish further contact and then try to control Raphael's actions to prevent him from killing any more official Extraordinary beings.
On the way back, Raphael asked the coachman to take a detour, as he didn't want to run into the "Red Angel" evil spirit again.
Upon returning to the Mafia headquarters, Carter reported that the car accident had been dealt with.
The carriage Raphael initially rode in was Mafia property, so Carter was responsible for handling the accident. Carter found a card on the back seat of the carriage and asked if it was the boss's.
Raphael took the card; it looked like a child's doodle, somewhat childish, and depicted a snake devouring its own tail.
Suddenly, Raphael's graffiti-like snake turned slightly.
He thought he was seeing things, but upon closer inspection, the direction of the snake's head had indeed changed.
Raphael seemed to have thought of something, and he said to Carter, "This card is mine."
Then he asked, "What was the outcome of the car accident investigation?"
"It went smoothly," Carter smiled. "Although there was a bump, it was just a minor scrape."
"The driver said both sides were very lucky. Based on his past experience, the collision was so severe that it didn't require major repairs."
"Quite lucky?" Raphael smiled, but he was more concerned: "You didn't abuse your power, did you?"
"No," Carter said immediately. "Both sides were doing their own repairs, and there was no dispute."
Raphael breathed a slight sigh of relief and then asked, "Whose carriage is that?"
Carter also became serious, because his boss rarely asked such detailed questions: "I saw that the carriage said Allen Hospital. Hmm, I also inquired a little and heard that it was a small hospital run by Dr. Allen. Hmm, Dr. Allen has a good reputation. His wife and newborn son were in the carriage at the time."
Raphael said, "As expected, it's alright now."
Carter found it strange, but since his boss didn't explain, he didn't press the matter further.
Raphael returned to his office, and his mind "recalled" memories of the "Serpent of Fate," the president of the "School of Life," who hid in Backlund to escape the pursuit of the "King of Angels" of the same path, and used the ability of "Reboot" to become Dr. Eren's child.
He must have just been born. Raphael picked up the card again and looked at it: No wonder it's drawn so ugly.
Then he wondered what kind of opportunity he had before he transmigrated, and why he knew so much advanced information.
He shook his head, not wanting to think about it any further, because every time he thought of this, a thick gray fog would appear in his mind, which must be what the white jade bead meant by "the fooling of the Source Castle".
Finally, Raphael realized that today's car accident might not be a coincidence, but rather a greeting from "the serpent of fate."
It wasn't to greet Raphael, but most likely to greet the one represented by the white jade bead.
This method is very sinister; it allows you to see things that cannot be seen through other methods.
For example, in another world, the divine monk of the "Ten Thousand Buddhas Temple" should have seen through something.
Thinking of this, Raphael took a deep breath and carefully put away the "Serpent Who Swallows the Tail" card, thinking he might need it in the future.
After having lunch at the Mafia headquarters, Raphael took a carriage to the rented factory to continue practicing his movements and techniques.
Upon arriving on the street, Raphael noticed that the fog in Backlund seemed unusually thick today, and even though it was only afternoon, many carriages had lanterns hanging up.
Not long after he left, Raphael felt uneasy, as if something big was about to happen today.
Then he thought to himself: Something big has really happened. On the same day, on the same street, he encountered the evil spirit "Red Angel" and the "Serpent of Fate".
Just as he was thinking this, Raphael suddenly heard a not-so-loud whistling sound coming from the sky.
A second later, a loud explosion came from the next street.
Raphael immediately realized: it was the Fussac Empire's airships dropping bombs, and the war had begun.
