Hogwarts: Don't call me the Staff Maker

Chapter 704 New Prophecy

Chapter 704 New Prophecy

Chapter 704 New Prophecy

"Very good, Miss Brown, what a brilliant prophecy," the hunchbacked witch said dryly, her voice even hoarser than before, with a hint of gritted teeth.

She's been proctoring exams for so many years, and this isn't the first time she's heard similar predictions; logically, she shouldn't have reacted so strongly.

But Lavender Brown, in his own cleverness, mentioned Voldemort.

As someone who had experienced the First Wizarding War, the hunchbacked witch knew Voldemort's terror better than anyone else—if she could, she didn't want to have anything to do with Voldemort, not even a fake one.

It's foreseeable that Lavender Brown's score won't be very good.

"You can leave now. Your report card will be mailed to you. Please keep an eye on every owl," the hunchbacked witch said expressionlessly.

Lavender Brown, completely oblivious to the problem, left happily—hopefully she'll be just as happy when she sees her report card.

"Well then, it's your turn." The hunchbacked witch walked up to Xilun.

Coming to his senses, Xiren nodded and immediately focused all his attention on the crystal ball in front of him.

Like a crucible heated by flames, under Xilun's gaze, the mist inside the crystal ball began to spin and churn, and its speed increased rapidly.

Soon, the mist in the center of the crystal ball disappeared, revealing the hunchbacked witch's face.

Xilun narrowed his eyes.

He saw that the hunchbacked witch in the crystal ball seemed to be in a crowded and narrow space, surrounded by other people's arms and shoulders, with a wall with a grid pattern vaguely visible behind her—this was too common and not very useful.

Fortunately, a few seconds later, she moved and stepped out of the narrow space, while several paper airplanes flew past her at great speed.

Paper airplane?

This method of transmitting messages—Sirlen knew it was the Ministry of Magic's elevator!

However, just as he was about to continue watching, the image inside the crystal ball suddenly began to shake violently.

The crowd seemed to panic all of a sudden, and then a snake thicker than a Christmas tree took over the image on the crystal ball.

"So you mean you saw Voldemort attacking the Ministry of Magic during the exam?" Harry looked at Siron, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"It's not that we don't believe you, Siron, but this is just too incredible," Ron said, clicking his tongue.

"I find it incredible too." Xilun rubbed his forehead.

He never expected that one second he would laugh at Lavender Brown for not being able to make up a lie, and the next second he would see the same prophecy as the other man.

Just imagining the hunchbacked witch's expression, Celen had no doubt that if this weren't Hogwarts, and if this weren't an exam venue, she would definitely challenge him to a wizarding duel.

But he did see it! That snake, thicker than a Christmas tree, was definitely Nagini, and Voldemort must have been nearby too.

Furthermore, the hunchbacked witch was no longer in the final scene with the crystal ball, so the outcome was self-evident.

He suddenly began to doubt whether what Lavender Brown said was really made up. Or perhaps she had some special ability that allowed her to see through the fog in the prophecy orb?

"No, that's impossible—" Xiren shook his head, dismissing these unrealistic thoughts.

"You must be mistaken, Siron," Hermione said. Unlike Harry and Ron, she had never believed that taking over was useful, and naturally she didn't believe what Siron said either.

"But you'd better hurry to the venue, the next exam is about to start."

Hermione's reminder made Celeste realize that there were less than ten minutes left until three o'clock. He quickly left the common room and ran out of the castle.

The exam for the class on protecting magical creatures — an exam for him all by himself.

After jogging all the way, Siren finally arrived at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, in front of Hagrid's cabin, before three o'clock.

It must be said that the people at the Wizarding Examination Authority are indeed very dedicated; they sent someone even for an exam with only one participant.

He was another wizard whom Xilun didn't recognize, and he looked somewhat like Slughorn, especially in terms of build and hairstyle.

"Ah, welcome to the exam, Mr. Sirren Ollivander." Hagrid casually adjusted his bow tie (where did he find such an ugly thing that looked like a dyed toad).

"You need to put a collar on—well, on Cerberus," Hagrid said. "Remember, on all three heads."

As soon as Hagrid finished speaking, the ground began to shake, and a colossal creature emerged from the Forbidden Forest.

A fully grown Cerberus, Lululemon, is larger than most dragons. The thick trees in the Forbidden Forest are as fragile as toothpicks in front of it, breaking with the slightest force.

Siren heard the people from the Wizard Examination Authority next to him swallowing hard.

"Merlin's beard, really is Cerberus, is this a sixth-grade exam?" His tone was full of doubt.

Put a collar on such a big guy?

Let alone sixth grade, even in the most difficult NEWT exam, he had never seen such outrageous questions.

This is Hogwarts, not Azkaban. If you don't want someone to pass the exam, just say so. There's no need to kill them.

To be honest, he really wanted to turn around and run. Although doing so might go against the professional ethics of the Wizarding Examination Authority, saving his life was obviously more important.

Nobody knows if this big guy will suddenly go berserk—it's a three-headed dog, even Dumbledore probably couldn't handle it.

But he couldn't move; his legs seemed welded to the ground and wouldn't obey him at all.

At the same time, Siren stepped forward and took the collar from Hagrid.

"How was the test I specially arranged for you?" Hagrid asked in a low voice.

His voice wasn't quiet, but the people from the Wizard Examination Authority hadn't recovered yet and couldn't hear what they were saying at all.

“There’s nothing better than this,” Celen said. “But you should have kept it in seventh grade; it’s a bit of a waste at that point.”

Putting a collar on Lou Williams would be an almost impossible task for most people, but for Siron, it was easier than feeding Yaya lunch—he could do it with just a stretch of his arm.

"It's alright, there are other things in seventh grade," Hagrid said. "By the way, I've already relayed what you told me to Dumbledore, and he said he'll discuss it with the new minister."

"That's not important anymore," Sirius said. "Hagrid, could you go see Dumbledore again later and tell him that Voldemort will attack the Ministry of Magic again soon?"

"What did you say?" Hagrid was startled and asked loudly. Even the wizard who was stunned by Fulwei was brought back to his senses by his shout and subconsciously looked over.

However, Hagrid couldn't care less about that and immediately asked, "Is the news true?"

"Not necessarily," Sirius said. "This is what I saw in the crystal ball during my Divination exam. You can tell Dumbledore about this too, and let him decide for himself."
