Chapter 609 Good Things Come in Pairs
In the morning, everyone boarded the train for their return journey without incident.
"What's wrong with you two?" Ron asked, staring at Fred and George with a puzzled look.
"We're doing great," Fred said, a smile involuntarily creeping onto his face.
"Why do you ask that?" George then asked.
"Because you've been laughing since this morning." At that moment, Ginny walked over from the other side of the aisle, looking at them with a strange expression.
"You're definitely hiding something from us."
She spoke with certainty. After spending a lot of time with Fred George, you would find that they were actually not very good at hiding their thoughts, and most of the time they were clearly written on their faces.
For example, every time they modified Percy's prefectural badge, the two of them would always give Percy a strange laugh.
"That's because we finally graduated," George said.
"We'll soon have our own shop."
"This has always been our dream."
"Do you know how long we've waited for this day?"
"Aren't you happy after your holiday?"
The two of them spoke in unison, and it sounded quite reasonable. For students, having a holiday was indeed a happy thing—if it weren't for Voldemort and the Death Eaters.
However, Fred and George didn't give her a chance to ask any further questions and quickly made an excuse to leave.
As is customary, Hermione and Harry, as prefects, also went to maintain order after the train started moving, and did not return until almost noon.
The two also brought some very exciting news.
Draco Malfoy got beaten up.
"Nobody knows what happened, and nobody knows who did it," Harry said, his excitement barely concealed.
"Malfoy, who was sleeping in the dormitory, was beaten up badly, and then the person tied him up and hung him at the door of the common room until he was discovered in the morning."
"That's awesome!" Ron's eyes sparkled.
While they were talking, Hermione's gaze remained fixed on Siren.
"It's you, isn't it?" she asked, but her tone was very certain.
"What?" Xilun pretended not to understand.
"Of course it's the great hero Ron just mentioned." Hermione said, a little annoyed.
Harry and Ron, who were standing nearby, then realized what was happening.
Yeah, there were rumors at school that Celen wanted to kill Malfoy, and then Malfoy got beaten up and hung up at the entrance of the common room. What a coincidence!
"It can't really be you, can it?" Ron looked at Siron in disbelief. "Why didn't you call us—"
"Ron!" Hermione interrupted him impatiently. "This is no joke. Do you know that Siron will be expelled for doing this?"
"Also, do you think Snape will let this go after he finds out? Malfoy is his favorite student!"
"Don't be nervous, Hermione, relax." Celen waved her hand. "I won't be expelled because it was Fred and George who did this, and they graduated two weeks ago."
"But you haven't graduated yet," Hermione said sternly. "Snape will definitely take his anger out on you; he's capable of doing something like this!"
It must be said that Snape's reputation remains as strong as ever.
"I know, but he probably doesn't have time to deal with Malfoy's affairs lately," Celen said with a shrug, seemingly unconcerned.
Voldemort has openly appeared before everyone, and the Death Eaters have also stepped out of the shadows into the open. Snape, the Death Eater, has too many things to do.
If he really wanted to stand up for Malfoy, he could have stopped the Weasley brothers at school, but they're almost at King's Cross Station now.
The group had a simple lunch in the private room.
The food on the train was mediocre; aside from the large portions, it had almost no redeeming qualities, and the price of two scones wasn't exactly cheap. At the Leaky Cauldron, a pie stuffed full of beef, enough for two people, cost only three scones.
So, just like last year, before setting off, Siron made a point of going to the Hogwarts kitchen and packing a super-sized lunch.
With a little magic, they could have a fairly substantial lunch.
Fred and George also arrived.
Besides getting a free lunch, they also brought Siron some special news—someone had seen Draco Malfoy on the train.
He didn't choose any other way to get back; he still chose to take the train.
"Does he think that I beat him up and that's the end of it?" Siren asked.
"I'm afraid so," Fred said. "So what are you planning to do?"
"Is that even a question?" Xilun narrowed his eyes.
His interactions with Lucius Malfoy weren't limited to that one time in Diagon Alley.
When he was taken to that swamp and first encountered Voldemort, there were quite a few Death Eaters around. It's certain that Lucius Malfoy was among them, but Cyren's attention was entirely focused on Voldemort, so he didn't notice him.
In this case, it's clearly a loss for him to only beat up Draco Malfoy.
"So what should we do?" Fred and George immediately became excited.
"Do we still need the Water of Life and Death?" George asked.
The "Water of Life and Death" is also a powerful sleeping pill; just a small amount can induce a deep sleep.
When Siren sneaked into the Slytherin dormitories, he carried a bottle with him just in case, but he never got to use it.
Crabbe and Gore were sleeping so soundly that they couldn't be woken up by any noise.
"There's no need to waste potions," Siren thought for a moment and rejected the suggestion.
Malfoy hid in the carriage where Slytherin students were clustered together. A little bit of the Water of Death and Death was useless. Even if it was mixed into drinks, it was impossible for everyone to drink it at the same time.
Siren decided to send Harry to provoke him, and in the hallway he loudly discussed with Ron how stupid Lucius Malfoy's previous decisions were, and said that he would definitely be locked up in Azkaban.
The two readily agreed.
Draco Malfoy fell for it as expected. Unable to contain himself, he quickly left the box, ready to teach that annoying Potter a lesson.
However, as soon as they stepped out of the private room, Fred and George, who had been lying in ambush nearby, used magic to lock the door.
Then Xilun and another group of people appeared. They had all heard the news and came specifically to join in the fun. Most of them were members of S·A·D.
Malfoy and his group were part of the search team established by Umbridge, who were specifically there to oppose them, and the two sides already had an irreconcilable conflict.
They certainly wouldn't miss an opportunity to take revenge.
So, after a whole bunch of bizarre magic spells, Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle looked like three giant slugs stuffed into Hogwarts uniforms, and then were stuffed onto the luggage rack by Siron, left there to slowly wriggle.
