Chapter 180 Spending the Holidays with Harry
Chapter 180 Spending the Holidays with Harry
The holiday has begun happily. Every day I get up alone to make breakfast and eat it alone.
Then I would make myself a cup of coffee and sit quietly in the living room reading a book.
Harry didn't knock on my door for the past few days, so I was happy to have some peace and quiet.
On the fourth day of my rest, Harry shyly knocked on my door.
"Come in, come in." I stepped aside to let Harry into the house.
"Excuse me, senior Ayers." Harry scratched his head and walked in with his backpack.
"Have you had lunch yet?" It's already past 1 p.m., so you should have finished lunch by now.
"My aunt and uncle aren't home today, so I sneaked over. They don't allow me to cook at home." Harry was getting used to it; he would go hungry whenever his aunt and uncle weren't home.
"Then you do your homework first, I'll go cook you some egg noodles." This kid is so pitiful. When Sirius Black comes back, I'm definitely going to give him a good beating.
"No need for that, I'm not hungry anymore." Harry felt bad about asking me to cook for him.
"Go do your homework, it'll be ready to eat soon." Ignoring the silly kid, I went straight into the kitchen.
Harry knew he couldn't argue with me, so he could only take out his pen and homework from his bag and start doing it.
"Come on, eat something first." I made Harry a bowl of egg noodles in half an hour and brought it out. Then I sat down at the table and told Harry to come and eat.
'Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle,' Harry knew he was really hungry; his stomach was growling. He put down his pen and went to sit down at the table.
Harry looked at the fragrant egg noodles in front of him: a large fried egg, two side dishes, and egg-yolk noodles.
Harry didn't know how to use chopsticks, so he used a fork to eat in big bites.
“Next time you don’t have anything to eat at home, you can come to my house and I can cook for you.” I picked up my coffee and watched Harry eat noodles while I drank it.
"Mmm~ Okay, these noodles are delicious, Senior Ayers," Harry mumbled.
"Is dinner ready tonight? When are your aunt and uncle coming back?" I felt a pang of sympathy for Harry as I looked at him. I glanced unconsciously at a newspaper lying in the distance.
Just like the storyline from the previous life, the Weasleys won the lottery and went on a trip to Egypt during this holiday.
In the newspaper, Ron is holding a fat rat in his hands; someone should be about to appear.
Every time I appeared at the Burrow, I seemed to miss the rat. It seemed to be hiding from me all the time. When I slept in Percy's room, it was even more afraid to come in.
"Sorry, Harry, I was just thinking about something." I snapped out of my reverie and realized Harry was calling me.
“It’s nothing, Ayers. I just wanted to answer you. My aunt and uncle aren’t home tonight. It seems they’re planning to go out for a couple of days.” Harry had finished his egg noodles and picked up the bowl to go to the kitchen to wash them.
"Isn't it unsafe for you to be home alone? Why don't you sleep at my place tonight?" Riddle had already vacated his room, and he was sleeping in my room now.
"Is it okay? I'll go pack my things right now and come over." Harry came out excitedly after washing the dishes and asked me if it was really okay for him to stay at my house tonight.
"Okay, go pack your things. It's not very safe for you to be home alone tonight, is it? Anyway, I'm the only one home here right now." Since Riddle isn't here, it's fine for Harry to come and stay.
Then Harry ran back to his aunt and uncle's house at lightning speed, quickly packed some clothes, locked the door, and came over to my house.
"Haha, is it really necessary to be in such a hurry?" I can't help but laugh when I see Harry like this.
"I don't want to stay in that house for a second longer. If I had the choice and couldn't leave, I would leave right now." Harry only shows this melancholy expression in front of me.
"Harry, do you miss your mom and dad?" I think James and Lily should be back soon.
"I miss them, but I can't see them anymore." Harry said, picking up his change of clothes while tidying up his homework.
“That’s not necessarily true,” I said quietly. Harry immediately looked over at me, watching me smile.
Harry wondered if he had misheard; it seemed like Ayers had said something incredible.
"Ayers, did you just say something?" Harry looked at me uncertainly as I leisurely sipped my coffee.
"Come on, I'll take you to your room." I finished the last sip of my coffee and led the tidy-up Harry to the room Riddle had previously stayed in.
When I led Harry into the room, a warm and bright atmosphere greeted us.
The room's main color is a soft yellow, like the first ray of sunshine in the morning, bringing boundless warmth and comfort.
The walls were painted a pale yellow, a color that is neither too glaring nor too bright.
Several simple art paintings hang on the wall, their colors complementing the overall tone of the room and adding an artistic touch.
The room's floor was covered with a soft yellow carpet, making you feel as if you were walking on clouds.
A comfortable large bed was placed on the carpet, covered with pale yellow sheets and blankets, which looked very soft and comfortable.
Two pale yellow throw pillows were placed on the bedside table, making one want to lean against them and rest for a while.
A yellow desk sits next to the window, with a pale yellow lamp and some books on it.
Sunlight streamed through the window and fell on the desk, making it feel incredibly warm.
Next to the desk was a yellow chair with a very soft seat and backrest, making it very comfortable to sit on.
In the corner of the room stood a yellow wardrobe with glass doors, allowing a clear view of the clothes inside.
A pale yellow chandelier hangs from the ceiling of the room, its soft yet bright light creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The room is also decorated with some green plants, which add a touch of life and vitality to the room.
The room is decorated in a simple yet warm style, with yellow accents that create a cozy atmosphere.
In this room, you can relax and enjoy a peaceful and comfortable time.
The system automatically cleans all the rooms in my house, and each time the room is cleaned, it's like opening a blind box. I just didn't expect this room to be so cozy. I feel that this color scheme suits Cedric even better.
It perfectly suits Hedgehog's tastes, but it's clear that Harry also seems to really like this room.
Harry really liked the room; it was the first time he had ever stayed in a room with such a color scheme.
It is different from the Gryffindor dormitories, which are mostly decorated in dark red.
Needless to say, the room my aunt and uncle arranged for me was dark and gloomy, making me feel uncomfortable living in it.
But Ayers' room had a different feel to it; it was so warm, and he loved it.
And so, whenever his aunt and uncle weren't home, Harry would sneak over to my place to play, and under my supervision, he finished all his homework.
In my spare time, I also taught him some spells that we could use at home. The main thing is that neither of us can use wands. Luckily, I can cast spells without a wand. Harry was very envious when he saw me using magic at home, so he asked me to teach him.
"With your current magic power, you can only learn some of the simplest household spells, such as the Levitation Charm we learned in our first year. Actually, if you use the Levitation Charm properly, you can do something like this." Harry and I seemed to lose gravity, and we both slowly floated up.
"Is this the Levitation Charm? I thought it could only be used on things that aren't alive." Harry ate a small cake as he floated around.
"That depends on how much magic power you output. A small amount of magic power will result in this." He beckoned with his index finger, and a cup of coffee floated into my hand. I elegantly sipped my coffee, legs crossed in mid-air.
"Does that mean if you have less magic, you can only move small objects, but if you have more magic, you can make us fly like you do?" Harry also wanted to sit in the void like me, but he couldn't find the right way, so he just spun around in the void after finishing his cake.
“That’s what it means. And wandless spellcasting is… Harry, do you know how spells are cast?” I canceled the levitation spell, and we both fell off and sat on the sofa.
“I haven’t really thought about that.” Harry placed the empty cake plate and fork on the table.
"First, you have to chant the incantation, then release the magic along the wand through the prescribed casting motions to cast the spell." I explained the process of casting a spell to Harry bit by bit.
"I think I understand a little bit." Harry felt completely confused.
"I would describe it like this: you control your magic at your fingertips, then combine it with a miniature spell sign, and cast it on the object you want to cast the spell on. That's how wandless spellcasting works." I held out my hand in front of Harry and flicked a spell onto the plate in front of him. The little plate floated in the air.
"Like this?" Harry tried my method, making a tissue next to the plate float a centimeter off the table.
"Not bad, you should practice more." I didn't expect Harry to learn so quickly; it seems that hands-on practice makes him learn even faster.
Harry seemed to be having a blast, as a tissue kept floating around there.
"Once you get used to this weight, you can switch to something bigger or heavier." Just start with some light items and gradually increase the weight. This will also help you train your magic control.
"Ayers, I'm hungry~" After spending a few days together, Harry has now learned to act cute with me.
"Okay, I'll go make something to eat now." What can you do to spoil your crush?
Harry and I spent our holiday in this boring way. One day, I felt that the clothes I was wearing didn't fit well, so I decided to go to Diagon Alley to have a few more outfits made.
“Harry, I’m going to Diagon Alley today, do you want to come with me?” I picked up my coat from the doorway, put it on, and then walked to the fireplace in the hall.
"Ayers, what are you doing in Diagon Alley?" Harry asked, curious about what I was doing in Diagon Alley today.
"I'm going to order a new batch of everyday clothes, and I'll also go shopping to see if there's anything I need to buy." I was already getting ready to grab the Floo Powder when Harry quickly went to get his own clothes.
“I want to go too, I want to go and have a look around. I really didn’t know your fireplace led to Diagon Alley.” Harry also got dressed, tidied himself up, and picked up a handful of Floo Powder.
"I think you should go first. I'm afraid you might give the wrong address again." I gave up the fireplace for Harry so he could go first. Even if he made a mistake, I could still find him.
“I won’t make a mistake this time, Diagon Alley.” Harry blushed and threw down Floo Powder, which enveloped him in flames and disappeared.
"Thankfully, there are no problems this time, Diagon Alley." I also stepped into the fireplace and was teleported to Diagon Alley.
When I came out, I saw Harry waiting there.
“Let’s go, let’s get some clothes first and also order a batch of custom-made clothes.” I took Harry’s arm and headed toward Tovan’s clothing store.
Harry understood that they needed to get some more clothes.
"I don't want this color, but give me a set of all the other colors in this proportion. And I don't want this color, but give me a set of the remaining colors in this proportion." When Harry and I arrived at Tovan's Clothing Store, we asked the shopkeeper to bring out a color catalog and place a large order for Riddle and Severus. Now their clothes are all custom-made by me, and I want to see them wear different colors, preferably a different color every day.
“Okay, Mr. Ayers Hall, the custom-made clothes in the size you provided have been made. Would you like to try them on?” The store manager asked the sales assistant to bring out a pile of clothes in various colors, all of them in sets.
"Let him try it on." I was originally planning to come and pick up some clothes, some everyday clothes that I had ordered for Harry a few days ago.
"Me?" Harry thought he had misheard. Was Ayers talking about himself?
"That's right, these are a batch of clothes I customized for you. Try them on and see how they are. If they don't like them, have them altered." I had already noticed that Harry's clothes were strange. Whether they were old or not was one thing, but the main problem was that they didn't fit properly. I felt awkward looking at them, so I directly asked my sugar daddy system to give me the detailed height and measurements of my target, and I ordered a batch of clothes right away.
"Weren't we here to have clothes custom-made for you? How did I end up trying on clothes?" Before Harry could even react, the shop assistant handed him a set of clothes and pushed him into the dressing room.
“I also need to have clothes custom-made. The clothes you tried on were also made for you a few days ago. I felt awkward seeing you wearing clothes that didn’t fit, so I just ordered a bunch of clothes for you.” I explained to Harry while having the shop assistant take my measurements.
Harry really didn't know how he felt. It was the first time someone had bought him clothes that fit him well, and such new clothes that felt so good. His eyes were a little wet.
"Young Master Ayers Hall, that's enough. Why don't you sit here and rest for a bit? We've prepared some coffee for you while you wait for your friend to come out." The manager was very attentive. Actually, I own a small share in this shop; you could say I've invested in most of the shops in Diagon Alley. That's why the manager's service to us was exceptionally good.
"Thank you. Please make me a few everyday outfits and a few formal dresses. You should know the colors I like, right?" I've had quite a few clothes custom-made here, so the shop manager should know my preferences.
"Okay, okay, we'll let Mr. Ayers Hall know when the clothes are ready." The shop manager loves doing big business with me; every time I come to place an order, it's a large order.
"Harry, when are you going to come out? Come out and let me see how the clothes are." After finishing my business, I still hadn't seen Harry come out, so I crossed my legs and drank my coffee while calling for Harry to come out.
