Chapter 16 Solver
Chapter 16 Solver
"Buzz~ Beep! (Laffey, thank you!)"
“You shouldn’t be thanking me,” Raffi turned to Rosa. “It was Rosa.” The ambulance nodded; it was indeed Rosa who had interfered with the antenna, but… the ambulance turned back to Rosa. “Wasn’t the antenna out of control? And that energy signal…”
Jack and Raffi thought it might be necessary to keep it a secret and were still considering whether to tell, but Maggie excitedly revealed the absolute solver symbol that Rosa had at the time and the black hole.
The partition made it seem like Meiqi was making things up, until Rosa told them to shoot her, and everyone thought Rosa had gone mad.
Only the ambulance hesitated for a moment, then casually picked up a scalpel and threw it at Rosa. To everyone's horror, the scalpel suddenly stopped in mid-air.
A hexagonal symbol with three arrows extending from each of its three corners appeared out of thin air, firmly fixing the scalpel in mid-air.
Rosa changed her hand gesture, and the scalpel spun in the air, its tip originally pointing at her now floating on the handle in Rosa's hand.
Rosa raised her hand above her head, the knife also above her head. Rosa controlled the knife, changed her hand gesture, and struck at the knife's attack. Instantly, there were five knives.
The partition rubbed its eyes in disbelief. Rosa left one knife on the table and threw the rest against the wall. With a few "clattering" sounds, first one knife was stuck in the wall, then another knife flew over and cleaved the first knife in two in the same spot, and then yet another knife flew over and stuck in the wall, cleaving the first knife in two again.
When the last knife flew over, perhaps because the continuous flow of knives cleaving through the previous one caused friction and heat, the heat was most concentrated at the tip of the knife, which directly ignited sparks.
Everyone was so shocked they couldn't speak, including the ambulance driver. He went up and touched the scalpel in disbelief to make sure it was real.
"What is this?" The ambulance driver stared at Rosa in shock. "What are you?"
"Hmm..." Rosa kept switching the solver's other functions on her hand. "A hybrid of a solver and Cybertronian life?"
"Cool!" Meiqi shouted.
"Is this God closing a window for her but opening a door?" Jack said from the side. Perhaps the existence of Cybertronians was already shocking to them, so they accepted the Rosa Solver quite well.
"It looks more like Pujin smashed down all the walls except the windows," the person on the partition said, staring at Rosa in shock.
Optimus Prime slowly looked at Rosa, gradually coming to his senses. He realized that she had once been a Decepticon, and that she was very young. If she were led astray... the consequences were unimaginable.
“Listen, Rosa,” Optimus Prime said sternly, “I need you to promise us that no matter what, you will not be like those Decepticons, indiscriminately killing innocent people and resorting to any means to achieve your ambitions.”
Rosa was confused by this statement, but she quickly realized what it meant and immediately agreed. She understood that too much power could also lead to excessive ambition.
"Okay, remember what you promised us."
"Oh...hey, where am I?" Agent Fuller's voice rang out. Agent Fuller, who had been captured by the Decepticons, woke up. Optimus Prime didn't say anything more, but Agent Fuller thanked the Autobots when he left.
"So..." the ambulance driver began, "How's Megatron?" He looked at Optimus Prime.
"I think even he couldn't withstand an explosion of that magnitude."
Afterwards, Optimus Prime and the other Autobots abandoned the idea of letting Jake, Miki, and Laffey leave, and decided to have them team up with Arcee, Blockboard, and Bumblebee respectively.
Rosa was all set and ready to happily go home and relax when an ambulance called her back.
The next step is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the solver's capabilities, including the size of objects it can move, the size of objects it can replicate, and the specific level of detail it can achieve.
Rosa only developed the basic functions of the solver. As for the rest... let's leave that aside for now. The reason is simple: if there are too many things beyond their understanding, there might be a barrier, or they might be wary of her. Overall, it would be detrimental to her integration into the group.
Another point is that she believes it's always good to have more cards up your sleeve.
The ambulance and the other Autobots understood this as well, and after discussing it, they concluded that Rosa should perhaps avoid using the black hole as much as possible.
"Why?" Rosa asked, puzzled.
"That black hole has detectable energy, a unique energy signal, so large it can't be ignored. We can detect it, and so can the Decepticons," the ambulance said.
“We don’t have a numerical advantage. If our energy is detected, the Decepticons will only send more people to the energy point.” Optimus Prime looked at Rosa.
"And if the Decepticons discover you have special abilities, we can't guarantee you won't be caught." The partition shook its head; after all, their numbers were limited.
“The Decepticons are always rather cunning,” Arcee added.
"Of course, it's fine if you can guarantee you won't be caught using it secretly, but remember, don't let them know."
Rosa understood; that was indeed the case. Just as she was about to leave, she was called back again, this time because of their different schedules.
Last night, when the ambulance passed by my room, it noticed that the lights were still on, and I was still awake most of the night, so I don't know what I was doing.
Therefore, they unanimously decided today
"Starting tomorrow, we will correct your sleep habits," the ambulance said.
"Ok?"
“We’ll wake you up at the appointed time. You can do whatever you want, but you have to get up by that time.” Arcee nodded.
"what?"
"You can train with us too," the partition said.
"what?"
"Finally, welcome to our official membership. Tomorrow, the ambulance will give you a Transformer badge."
"what?!"
Rosa stared blankly at the Autobots around her, her pupils dilating into two circles as she writhed with emotion.
It's clear she was rather unwilling.
