Chapter 107: Shadow Forest Raid

The night was as dark as ink, dark clouds obscuring the stars. Only a few faint moonlight pierced through the clouds, scattering dappled light across the deep, shadowy forest. This dense forest has been a hiding place for shadowy forces since ancient times, its dense canopy acting as a natural barrier, shielding it from all outside observation. Yet, beneath this tranquil surface, a storm was quietly brewing.

Yun Yi stood on a high platform in the camp, his gaze piercing the darkness as he gazed at everything around him. He and the members of the Otherworldly Alliance were intensively preparing for the upcoming war. The camp was brightly lit and bustling with activity, yet they had no idea that danger was quietly approaching.

"Everyone, pay attention! Stay alert!" Yun Yi whispered to Arya and Kevin beside him. His voice was soft, but it carried an undeniable authority. Arya and Kevin nodded, each gripping their weapons tightly and scanning their surroundings with vigilance.

At that moment, a subtle sound of breaking wind suddenly echoed through the night sky. Immediately afterwards, several dark figures emerged from the dense forest like ghosts, heading straight for the camp. They were clad in black robes, their faces hidden beneath hoods, revealing only a pair of eyes gleaming with a faint green light. They were the elite of the Shadow Force.

"Oh no! Enemy attack!" Yun Yi's heart trembled, and he immediately shouted loudly. His voice echoed in the night sky like thunder, instantly waking the sleeping camp. The alliance members were awakened from their dreams, grabbed their weapons, and quickly joined the battle.

"Everyone, don't panic. Follow the plan!" Yun Yi commanded the battle as he quickly rushed towards the enemy. His longsword pierced the night sky with a brilliant blue light, striking the vital point of a Shadow Elite. The Shadow Elite had clearly not anticipated Yun Yi's swiftness, and for a moment, he forced them to retreat repeatedly.

"Yun Yi, we're here to help you!" Arya and Kevin saw this and brandished their weapons, joining the fray. Arya's magic shone brightly, driving back the Shadow Elites one by one; Kevin's arrows streaked through the night sky like meteors, accurately piercing the enemy's vital points.

However, the number of shadow forces clearly exceeded Yun Yi's expectations. They surged like a tide, wave after wave, seemingly endless. Although the alliance members fought bravely, they gradually began to feel powerless.

"This isn't going to work. We must find their leader and defeat them once and for all!" Yun Yi thought to himself. His gaze was sharp as a torch, searching for the figure of the Shadow leader in the chaotic battlefield. Finally, he spotted a Shadow member dressed in a black robe, holding a staff, standing on a high ground, directing the battle.

"There, their leader is there!" Yun Yi pointed at the high ground and shouted. He flashed and rushed towards the high ground like an arrow. Seeing this, Arya and Kevin followed closely behind.

On the high ground, the Shadow Leader saw Yun Yi and the others charging towards him, a sneer curling his lips. He gently waved his staff, and a powerful shadow force instantly surged out, transforming into a black beam that hurtled straight at Yun Yi. Seeing this, Yun Yi stretched his body and easily dodged the beam. He swung his sword, emitting a blue blade light that struck the Shadow Leader's vitals.

However, the Shadow Leader's strength was clearly not to be underestimated. With a flick of his staff, he neutralized Yun Yi's sword beams one by one. For a moment, the two men were locked in a stalemate.

"Yun Yi, be careful!" Arya suddenly shouted. Yun Yi's heart trembled, and he quickly dodged to the side. A black shadow blade passed by him, narrowly avoiding his vital point.

"Hmph, it's not that easy to hurt me, Yun Yi!" Yun Yi snorted coldly. He suddenly leaped up and attacked the Shadow Leader like a violent storm. As he swung his sword, blue sword beams shot forth, forcing the Shadow Leader back repeatedly.

At that moment, Kevin seized the opportunity and fired an arrow, striking the Shadow Leader in the shoulder. The Shadow Leader froze involuntarily in pain. Yun Yi seized the opportunity and swung his sword, knocking the Shadow Leader to the ground.

"The leader's down! Everyone, charge!" Yun Yi shouted. The alliance members were energized by this, brandishing their weapons and launching a final charge against the shadow forces. After a fierce battle, they were finally completely defeated.

After the battle, Yun Yi was searching the battlefield for spoils. Suddenly, he spotted an unconscious Shadow Agent. With a sudden impulse, he immediately stepped forward and captured the agent.

"Hmph, Shadow Force, you underestimate us too much." Yun Yi sneered. He waved his hand, signaling the alliance members to take the spy away and keep him under strict guard. Then, he turned to Arya and Kevin and said, "Although we successfully resisted this attack, the Shadow Force will never give up. We must be more vigilant and be fully prepared."

Arya and Kevin nodded in agreement. They knew the war had only just begun, and the true test lay ahead. And Yun Yi, as the leader of the alliance, would surely lead them to ultimate victory.
