"...She still feels that it’s too fast." Kyle sighed deeply. He really wanted to just kidnap Kate and lock her up, but he didn’t want to make her unhappy, so he had been patiently waiting.

General Ryan nodded. "She’s only 22, so it’s only natural that she felt it’s too fast."

"Why are you siding with her?"

"Of course I’ll side with her." General Ryan scoffed. Who would want to side with this annoying troublemaker in front of him? If only it was possible, General Ryan wished to always be standing on the opposite of his son to see his son’s deflated expression.

That would be for the best.

Kyle rolled his eyes.

This is his biological father and he was sure that his father would be happy whenever he was in trouble with his wife.

Now he knew that he could definitely not come to his father to ask for any kind of help.

"Professor Kinsley is not making more trouble for you, did he?" General Ryan knew that Professor Kinsley loved his daughter very much. He wouldn’t want to hand over his daughter to a random pig that appeared and wanted to snatch her.

He was absolutely sure that Kyle would have trouble dealing with Professor Kinsley if that old man was determined not to hand his daughter over.

"I have some chat with him and he’s not that insistent." Kyle was calm. "My talk with Professor Kinsley went well before. It seems that I can be rest assured that he will not stop me."

"So, your progress is good?"

"He allows me to speak with Kate alone in the living room."

"...Just that?"

Kyle looked at his father and snorted. It was the only improvement. Aside from the living room and dining room, Professor Kinsley would never allow Kate to be alone with Kyle.

And General Ryan himself would admit that he was not comparable to his powerful daughter in law. After all, he had only reached rank 7 not long ago and compared to his son, it was the same as asking for beating.

That was why General Ryan didn’t care.

Anyway, as long as City E continued to thrive, his position here would be unshakable. That way, he would be able to protect the people within the city that he had long wanted to protect.

Lucy became martial arts instructor and happily beat up... *cough* teach people about martial arts. Marc became her helper while studying in the academy because he still wanted to continue his study. Robby basically became the mascot of their training center and a lot of people fell in love with that cute and silly dog.

Their business was basically a success in City E. Lucy was popular and Robby made her training center more lively. There were many people who wanted to become stronger and Lucy’s martial arts were also known aside from her strength.

So, it was thriving.

Kate also often paid a visit.

She had no proper job and only occasionally helped to treat people with her healing ability. But even then, only the most emergency cases would be handed to her.
